He rode very well. Was in position to qualify in heat then killed engine. LCQ he was very fast. Got to aggressive with Marsacks I believe and busted a radiator. He flipped the start finish line and a berm at the intro. The place went nuts. Only him, Reed and Stewart were doubling the dragons back jump. Failed to make the main event but he put on a helluva show.

Travis had a transfer spot in the heat race and made a simple mistake into a tuff block around lap 6. Looked like he was tired. He started about 6th or 7th in the LCQ and was picking people off one by one. He just got a little impatient when passing for 2nd and he would have been in. He had the speed and was only half way through the LCQ when he made the bad pass attempt. He said he messed up his radiator. In the opening ceremonies he back flipped onto the track off of a small berm. Then after the hot lap right out of the opening ceremonies he back flipped the finish line jump. Travis is one cool cucumber.

Definitely a great race, don't miss it.
Although I do applaud your sense of priority by waiting till later when you had company.

Maybe the girls will stay over and have a late breakfast then watch the races with you?

They really had a lot of love for Travis tonight throughout the entire event. They had a great intro video of him after James and Chad's were finished. I really hope they make that available on youtube or show it on the Speed coverage but I'll bet they don't.

The berm flip was nuts. He made it sound like it was totally random, like he saw it and went for it on a whim "Yea, I came out and I thought 'hey, I didn't see that lip before'"

He couldn't have been more than 5 feet off the ground. Amazing how easily he does that now.
