the pros need not show up, cos they would not qualify for the main. Too many fast locals.

You forget the sarcasm alert or something? While Texas does have some pretty fast riders, we sure don't seem to have that many fast enough or consistent enough to make a dent in the top levels of the sport. A lot of the ones you see using Texas as their home address are recent transplants anyway.

He may be referring to Lemoine and the Wharton and Hahn brothers.

I was thinkin' Wharton's transplanted from Michigan, Hahn's from Kansas.

And Lemoine grew up and raced in Louisiana most of his life.

Kyle Cunningham? I've been watching him ride since he was on fiftys. The wartons have been here since 65s-85s (wasn't aware of a transplant.) Voss has been around a long long time. Maybe all his life. How long do they have to be here before we can claim them?

I've been watching Lemoine around here since he was on 80's. Cunningham and the Wharton's too.

From my perspective, if they call Texas home now, we can claim 'em!
