Shannon Mx is in Shannon Georgia off hwy53. Across the highway from the Ball can plant. It's in behind a new housing development. Last time I went in 2013 there were no signs. You basically pull up and start unloading. Someone will come down from the trailer on the hill and take your money. I know I will get flamed but I think you're wasting your time with that place. Shannon is nowhere near peachtree. Did you move up towards rome?

Ha! No, for me anything within 1.5 hrs is close! I had mapped it from PTC and it was 1.5 hrs. Just about like everything else!

Yeah the Moto scene in north Georgia is not getting better. Calhoun Mx has new ownership. Supposed to be better. It's probably the same distance as Shannon from you. Bremen shut down which is a crying shame. What a fun track that was. River view Mx and diamondback were great practice tracks in the 90s to mid 2000s. I miss those days.

I agree, hated to see Bremen close but that was 1.5 hrs from me as well. I think there are probably several tracks but they are probably semi/private so unless you know someone you won't get a chance to ride. I've heard there's a few tracks around Newnan,Ga but can't seem to validate for sure. Been riding at CKB in Fort Valley and the guy that owns it is as stand up as they come.

Strongly considering planning a trip to HP at the beginning of April. Has anything changed for better or worse since this thread was last active 2 years ago? Anything I need to know ahead of time? Interested in both single track and moto.

Look up Durhamtown, too. The owner as at the Atlanta SX race, They showed some info on the big screen. It said 6,000 acres. That may be worth looking into as well. I went to Highland Park ten years ago. It was a lot of fun.

Hasn't changed much, they now sell altas and trails are always being added. Mx1 got reworked and it's better. Otherwise it's the same
