Agreed..I'd have made a Aluminium tank to close those damn gaps.

Still nice though.

It's amazing that ufo doesn't make an upgrade kit for these bikes. They would sell

I ended up selling the bike with the 2015 kit on it.

I did do a conversion with the 16/17 stuff before I sold the bike.

How were you able to squeeze the 2014 4T tank in the frame? It's half an inch too wide on each side. Although I am doing the build on a 05' kx125.

Honestly, the plastic from the early 2000's looks so much better than the angular crap they make today I have no idea why people would do this. Modern bikes are horrendous looking.

All about availability on parts too. Much easier to get the new stuff that actually fits

A rare opinion and why so many try to modernize the look of their discontinued 2 stroke.

Looks great pro181, you should post up some build pics.

Wow photo 3 really speaks to the work and commitment involved with the subframe and air box mods. The outcome looks fantastic. If there was a bolt-on kit available I'd be all in.

If you want to see this on a KX125, search Carson Brown KX125. Now BBR just needs to make this kit!!

@pro181motox if you ever want to sell that kit let me know I'm all in to do something like that for my kx! Now I've got to 16' front end and 08' shrouds. How much $$ you drop on the fabrication parts and stuff if you don't mind me asking?

Do you have any information on the parts you used to do this? I just bought a 2004 KX250 and this exactly what I want to do.

The stock rear fender is short, putting a looong 450 fender doesnt improve the looks. The only thing id change on that bike is the front fender. The bike is very purposeful looking stock

I lost login information for this email so I can't see notifications. Any ways bike is for sale. Kit is for sale. Both or separated. The bike is built to the moon but still legal to race any 250 classes

that guy built his off of mine. since i didn't release any pics showing how i mourned the air boot and the 4t subframe he had to guess which is a little different than mine as i use the 4t boot with 4t air filter. he used 2t air boot .he used the stock 2t tank, and stock 2t seat bc you can't use a 2t tank with 4t seat or vis versa . if he would have used the 4t tank he wouldn't of had to move his seat mounts.. if your going to do it, my way is the fastest and easiest. Also a lot of people have no clue on what you do with the hole from the fuel pump in the 4t tank. I can also take at the 4t stuff off and bolt the 2t stuff right back up.

Hey Garrett. Did you know Mobius is using your bike in their advertisements??? Found this interesting.

I find this very interesting also. Someone texted me earlier and told me. I would have gotten that email myself if I didn't unsubscribe ?.

Old reply, but... A 2005 KX250 tank will not fit in a 2005 KX125 frame, as it is too wide. I have both and tried it myself.
