Holeshot refers to getting to the first turn first, as in ahead of all the other riders. Bloody hell, this is one of the first things a rider learns on his first day of motoschool! Monkeydrive indeed.

thats just how he takes the first turn. i just did it a little early at dayton, if the corner was fifteen feet sooner he would have been right on the inside and pulled the holeshot like he does all the time just a little miss calcuation by stewart

You really head over to the holeshotting line and look up and down the holeshot gates for a good spot before your moto goes off?

I can hear my local announcer now: "The holeshot for the 3rd race goes off in 15 minutes, so you had better get over to the staging area now." 99% of the people in the pits would be like, "what the hell did that dork just say?"
