I don't necessarily agree with this guys foreigner comment but I do think that a lot of what he says is true in regards to most of what we have seen has been players who are not very good. Decent listen. Gameplay is a mixture of MXGP 3 and the previously released MES videos but some of what he says is spot on.

Can anyone confirm if we will be able to use the track editor in the Daytona environment? I might wet my pants a little if you're able to create past Daytona replicas.

From the videos I've seen it appears we'll only be able to create tracks in stadiums. It would be awesome if we could create tracks at Daytona but sadly it doesn't look like that's going to be an option.

I think there's only 3 stadiums to choose from as well.

wanted to show a comment i saw on youtube. this is in response to everyone that seems to think mxgp3 physics (or any of the mxgp games) and MES physics will be the same. sounds like the handling is much different

No, 3 is better. You just have to have the settings set to realistic and manual gears is huge for that game. Plus have fully upgraded bikes and it's a great game. When you first play it, it's the worst mx game ever made.

You can tell with that video as well that air physics are even different. It seems less "floaty" compared to the VVV videos that are being put up. I'm liking it. Just 12 more days!

It's still blatantly obvious the game doesn't reward good rhythm. It looks good until you case something and just ride it out like whoops then it looks like total crap. I wish the big triples and finish line jumps were more peaky. They look flat and don't launch you up. Awesome graphics, average physics. Wish it would be the other way around.

Can anyone confirm that user created tracks can be played online against friends in a lobby?

Thanks

You can also download popular tracks online I believe? Which if that's the case, I dont' know why people are complaining about last years series being implemented into the game. You know damn well there's going to be people creating this years tracks and replicating them pretty damn well.

That's correct. You'll be able to upload your tracks, download other people's track, vote for the most popular ones and I believe you'll be rewarded with in game currency/points if your tracks are downloaded or voted most popular. I know you're rewarded for something.

It won't take long before the 2018 tracks are replicated. I didn't look at all the maps for this year but if any of them go up into the stands I don't think we'll be able to replicate that feature but who knows.

As for the video that drok577 posted I had to laugh at using the tuff blocks as a berm in some places and completely do nothing in other places except bumping them and sending them on their way like a frisbee. So much for realistic, landing on top of the AI and no one goes down. That needs to be fixed. Air physics still need to be tweaked in my opinion.

Regarding landing on top of other rides, I'm not sure why game companies have gone this way. Both Nordic and Milestone have made it so that when you land on someone, nothing happens. I don't get it. It looks really corny and stupid riding along on the top of peoples heads in the start of a race when everyone's jammed up.

It all boils down to the shitty AI in all MX games. If they didn't allow landing on top of each other we would never survive the first lap. The AI doesn't give a shit if you're there or not. They are going to jump on you instead of check up. The older games got away with it because there were only 6-12 bikes on the track. Now we've got 22 which causes an absolute cluster because the AI refuses to check up when a line is already taken.

I personally like when the AI disregards their own race and will drive straight off the track in an attempt to take you out, even taking themselves out 9 times out of 10. It makes it more realistic for me. [/sarcasm]

Is it just me, or has any of these gameplay videos shown not one person clear a supercross triple? Might be because they are taking the inside of every turn.. But I have yet to see anyone successfully clear a triple. Much less carry speed/scrub one.

I think it has a lot to do with the people playing the game. They seem to be completely clueless.

I think it's a good thing that you have to nail the corners to clear the triples, it makes everything better for us that will actually be able to play the game like it is meant to!

I've seen videos where the guy playing had no problem clearing the triple. The one place I noticed a lot of people are struggling to clear a jump is at the finish line. Not sure if it's because they aren't going fast enough or if it's too flat.

The game is close, but it's still off from what it should be. I watched a chad reed at Vegas video, he hit the back of a rider, went flying and flipping off the track, didn't crash, but as soon as he went to get back on the track, the game reset him. That pisses me off so bad in MXGP3, and it looks like this is the same.

Plus literally riding on top of people's heads and nobody crashing is very annoying. Even if there are 21 other AI, you should still have to watch your line, or even if you are trying to take someone out, screw it and land on them.

Another thing I hate about MXGP3, and now this sx game: when you scrub, you do the animation, which I don't have a problem with the actual animation itself. I have a problem with once the animation is over, you can't control the bike or rider. So if you scrub and the animation turns you off the track, you're screwed cause you can't do a damn thing.

Those are the three biggest things I hate about Milestone games. If they could correct those simple things, I think the games would be much better. This will probably by my favorite moto game, but we should still demand better from these companies. MVA Unleashed had great physics in regards to taking out other riders, collisions, and even suspension and feeling the whoops and jumps, but the zero gravity hurt that game. Milestone should be able to do so much better. But 12 more days until we have our hands on this game and I am stoked!

looks like the handling is much better than MXGP3 but the speed is still way too fast.

i'll be buying it and am looking forward to the track editor

Didn't the animation problem you mentioned in your 3rd paragraph get fixed with GP3? GP2 was aweful with that. Scrub was useless in tight areas.

I posted this on Milestone's facebook page. I think it solve a lot of these complaints nicely...while Milestone does seem to listen on some issues, it usually takes a long time and only after a LOT of complaining. I tried at least.

I have the game pre-ordered on xbox and am very excited to play it. A "pro" setting could give advanced players some exciting options:
- AI speed multiplier for faster ai,
- heavier or squishier tuff blocks,
- longer delay option after crashing,
- option for crashes when player bike lands on another rider.

The game looks great and appears to be easy enough for casual fans, but some areas of gameplay appear to be too casual, or too easy for experinced gamers. I hope you read my comment and consider this.

I had it preordered on Amazon but cancelled it and went with the SE version for the XB1. Do I remember reading it will unlock a dew days early for preorders through the store?
