Man if that was a 20 min plus 1 lap main, Anderson was on his way to a close win picking off riders one at a time, it could have would have should have been epic.

But we will never know.

Less than pumped after moto 1, lets give it two more.

On a positive for us Aussies, Mellross with a 7th and Reed with a 12th. Format working for the Down Under boys so far Smile

I have always said let's have two 20-minute races per class (or 18 minutes or whatever) and award points for each race independent of the overall. That basic format has worked in motocross for more than a half century.

Two hours of qualification in prime time (especially the "last-chance qualifier") is just ridiculous. I just set my DVR, then I fast-forward to the mains where ... wait for it ... all the fast guys are actually in the same field. I'm not the only one.

And no, I do not give a shit that the privateers aren't on TV. This is a pro sport, not Amateur Night, and no pro series presents itself the way Supercross does (until tonight, anyway). Big improvement.

Love the format. Hate ther track. 14 riders within a second of each others lap times... its a lottery out there.

I thought I'd like it but I don't. Way too much time between racing. I don't like the Olympic scoring. Needs to be scored like Moto. That way a 1st place finish is worth it. It's just a joke.

Not a big fan thus far. There is just so much time and so many commericals between the first 450 race and second 250 race.

No pussy footing around? No qualifiers? Ha. That was a 40 minute break in between the end of the 450 main and beginning of the 2nd 250 main. Imagine how restless you would be sitting in the stands. Screw that

Your first sentence/paragraph is the exact reason they did this. They meant for this to happen. They wanted other winners. If different, new guys sneak some triple crown wins, the entire rider base is going to benefit. If you can't see that, you're missing the whole point.

Was concerned after first races, but after the second races, this is great, track forming up more passing and it is wide opening still going into the final race.

The only downside is the gaps between racing.

to much fluff.
