Interestingly enough people on this board seem to not like All Out as much as MES yet if you look at Facebook and Instagram it's the clear favorite.

I could get it via the PSN store but I still prefer to have a disc/case for my purchase over a digital download. It feels like I actually got something for my money. Weird, I know.

How many bikes are you guys planning on upgrading to the maximum? Me, all of them so I'm not against grinding things out. I actually like it.

I'm not totally sure, I'll likely max out at least one bike of each category (450, 250, 250T etc.). I like to have both stock and fully upgraded bikes in my garage so I can go back and forth. Doing so on Reflex made me realize that the stock bikes are basically exactly the same in performance as the fully modded bikes.
I’m woth you on that I’m actually playing reflex more and more lately, seems like the mods just give you the ability to tune which is fine with me

And to add to that, I also feel like the adjustments to bike settings do almost nothing. The only difference I have noticed is in your tire compound, and then only a little difference, and my lap times reflect times reflect that. They’re basically identical no matter what suspension/gearing etc. I’m running. I feel like the braking and maneuvering change options are much more powerful in changing the way the bikes feels and rides.

I think it's only natural that a franchise that's been around since 2004 and has several iterations will easily have more followers than Milestone's first attempt at a US based SX game.

But that, in no way, means it will be the superior game. All Out looks essentially like the same game we got from Rainbow 14 years ago where Monster Energy Supercross not only brings authenticity to the max and first official game since 2000 but also gives us a track editor.

Can't they sample the sounds from a real bike? Older titles like ATV Offroad Fury 1 & 2 had really good realistic sounding 2 strokes and 4 strokes. You'd think they could do even better with it now but they don't.

^^^ That's odd considering Milestone was scanning riders in the same exact location.

I think sounds for a Moto game are harder then we might think. There was video years ago of the Rainbow team taking live sound samples from a 250f. The problem is how to apply those sounds. Sound is subjective and depending on your listing point your perception of sound differs greatly.. So when you watch a 2 stroke hit a supercross triple and you hear a nice Brrrrraaaap that's what you might want in a game. When you're riding that bike that's not what you hear.. You hear engine noise, exhaust chamber noise, so on and so forth. So what sound should be in a video game becomes almost an art form.

I'm pretty sure that's Milestone scanning riders for next's year's version of MES. Castelo gets scanned for next years 2018 MES supercross game and then credits their direct competitor... sigh.

Oh well, mistakes happen.

Considering MX VS ATV used the same Facebook page for All Out, All In, Supercross Encore AND Encore, I think it's fair to say they should have more followers. Milestone MES page has only been up for a few months, so that's not a fair fight.

With that said, Rainbow is definitely getting more views on most of their social media videos. People are definitely hyped on the sic and phat whips.

Apparently it's not a mistake.

Long and short gameplay vids are coming in the following weeks. That's what they told me.

Speaking of having more followers you would think Milestone would have more Instagram followers than they do considering it's promoted at the races and on live TV. Most of their demographic are on Instagram.

In the end it's not about who has the most followers or the most likes it's about how the game plays. That's the single most important thing.

I've said it before and say it again, by the amount of views and replies each thread has on here it's fair to say people are equally interested in both games.

Unleashed: Wheelie to go faster, double pre-load glitch, and track cuts.
Untamed: Whiskey throttle glitch / boost.
Reflex: Whip glitch.
Alive: Trick button glitch / scrub glitch / wheelie glitch.
MVA SX: Whip / nose down glitch / double pre-load glitch.

I wonder what glitch people will find in this game that they are not aware exist yet? Wink

Really?! That's surprising. That's one good thing about competition. If Milestone wasn't doing it, would MX vs. ATV be doing it now?

Told them it was odd and they said they're not enemies and that they're both working to grow the MX and off-road community.

I think it's great that they can both push each other to make better games.

Still wish EA would get back into it but I don't see that happening since the numbers are too small. It's a shame because with the resources they have they could make something really incredible.

No, it's not about having more followers, but it certainly doesn't hurt. The more exposure your product has, the better.

Yes, gameplay is crucial, but let's stop trading one for the other, let's demand both. Plenty of other genre games have both great gameplay and graphics, why not our sport. And maybe I'm alone here, but not one MX/SX game has had fantastic physics overall. Sure, some games have had decent components, but overall nothing captured our sport yet. For example, Reflex had decent air physics, but the ground physics sucked. And a motocross bike weighs around 240 lbs. You shouldn't be able to twirl it around like a BMX bike.

Yes, there's interest in both games and I hope both get a fair shot.

Yeah, it's odd, considering Rainbow has never really seemed interested in going down the more realistic representation route that Milestone is trying to do.

Yes, that's why true Capitalism works, competition makes products and services better.

Enemies? I'm not sure I believe that. If I was a company and had 100% of a market and then suddenly another company came in and started making a similar product going after my potential customers. I'd be pretty upset by that.

It's great for the consumer though, competition is healthy and it does raise the bar.

Don't forget that these smaller studio's have limited budgets to work with and do the best they can with what they have.

Big AAA studio's have pretty much unlimited budgets so it's easier for them to have games that look great graphically and have good gameplay. They can hire the best people, can dedicate certain teams to focus on 1 specific aspect of the game as oppose to multiple things. That goes a long way in making a game look and play great.

You wish EA would get back into this sport? Do you just give opinions without playing the games. Go search EA and loot box controversy that's making headline news. Every single 2018 release that have put up loot boxes as the means to progression in the games. Governments are looking into if their games are gambling it is that bad. Imagine every upgrade being locked behind a random number generator, but those that want to pay, can upgrade faster. EA is not the same as what you may have remembered 10 years ago.

I think as long as they're relatively fast they'll be fun to play around with and break things up from racing bikes all the time.

Powersliding corners is always fun.
