I think he DNF'd because of his pants but claimed it was his shoulder.

Knowing Dunge's mentality he more than likely would of just ripped his pants off and finished salvaging some points. Laughing Laughing

Honestly i just watched the race again .....when they zoom into Tomac fixing his pants its clear his zipper is fully down. Thats why his pants wouldnt stay buckeld up and he didnt zip them back up while trying to rebuckle his pants.

Heres my theory: I think he honestly forgot to zip up his pants and when he went down (not because of his pants) things came way undone. Every set of riding gear ive ever owned have had burly zippers that take a decent amout of effort to zip down they dont just drop the zipper bec the buckle is unclipped. Its pretty embarassing to admit so i doubt youll hear anyone mention it and i may not even be correct but watch the race again and pause it when they show Tomac trying to rebuckle his pants.
The way he hit and slid a bit on his side tt's far more likely the zipper ripped apart, so it would be stuck at the top on one side. So actually getting it back into position to properly zip his pants back up would take a couple minutes even without gloves and the pressure of not losing spots.

Watch the race on youtube and pause it when they zoom in on him trying to buckle his pants. It would take a very large amount of pulling force to pull the buckle apart AND his zipper. Riding pants have very heavy duty zippers for the most part dont they?

Again i could be wrong but if youre saying he hit and slit hard enough for the zipper to fully give way from the side, i have a hard time believing that bec of he really didnt hit that hard and id think the nylon part of the pants holding the zipper teeth wouldve failed a lot sooner than the zipper unit itself but its plausible that if the zipper was down a fall like that wouldve put enough force on the buckle itself to pull the pants apart. With the zipper AND the buckle fastened holding everything together its hard to think a fall like that wouldve done what it did but i could be wrong. Watching the close up he doesnt even think to reach for the zipper it was all done in haste.

Typical haters. What happen folks? Got bored with slamming JS7?

It's one race. If #3 does what he did last year, he would still have a good chance to win the series. Not great, but geez. Relax people. You act like we might go to war with North Korea . . . Oh, wait a minute. Nevermind.

Everyone hates on him. I feel bad for the dude. Works his ass off, is the fastest and finally gets the start. Did everything exactly the way he didn't do them in years passed. Then some shit like this happens to him. I hope he wins this thing just to shut everyone up.

Between my padded compression shorts and my knee braces, I usually have to peal my pants off my body when taking them off. I hate trying to take a crap at the track with my gear on because taking my pants down is a major PITA. While it would be a nuisance with the zipper and belt not being closed, there's no way my pants fall off on their own. That said, I'm built like Peick and not Tomac. Regardless, there's simply no way he didn't finish that race because of his pants falling off. It's definitely a shoulder and even possibly a concussion issue. Definitely an injury. My $0.02. Hope he's ok to go next weekend.

Funny, I've had the same thing happen to me in a wreck. Zipper blew wide open and the buckle actually ripped off. Pants were immediately down around my thighs. Never wore Fox gear again.

All of the Desert Guys get it. Larocco was the last guy I remember wearing a full chest protector. They work. With all the shoulder Injuries, I can't believe more guys are not wearing them.

Come on man. You can't just go rippin that zipper up in a panic. That's how nuts get zipped into zippers. Then he would be out for more than just this season.
