In-game purchases optional.

Looks like there's going to be plenty of micro transactions. Personally I'm not a fan of that model but do understand it from a business point of view.

I just hope they're priced accordingly and that the purchases are in bundles and not individual items. I don't want to start paying $0.50 for a single helmet or goggles, $0.75 for a set of gear or set of graphics, $1.00 or more for each track they release or whatever the cost may be. All those little transactions add up. If you're able to carry all those items over to the next game they release then it's different.

That said I was wondering what the bonus items were going to be so it looks like I'm going to have to pre-order it soon.

I would have been super happy if it just was mxgp3 on a supercross track but the gameplay looks amazing even better than mxgp2

Going to send an invite request to the PS4 community soon my username is D-ALC
Sounds good. FYI I don't log on my PS4 everyday so it might take a day or 2 before I get to it.

Like I previously mentioned there's a pretty good group of guys so far so it should be fun when the new games are released.

@VilloFan951 I'd encourage you to start a non-moto thread under something like Xbox Gamer Names or something along those lines so people on here can post them up. You can also use the search function up top for Xbox usernames and start sending out invites to those guys. Not sure if everyone who posted their usernames still post on here or not. That's why I'm suggesting a new thread in non-moto. Still plenty of time before the games are released but in the meantime you can play other stuff with fellow posters. Beats the hell out of playing with random 12 year olds lol.

No worries, I have encore and mxgp3 but never play them anymore, I'm just gonna start playing again once the new ones come out. Currently occupied with Horizon Zero Dawn and building my NBA 2K18 player.

Edit: Also I live about 5 minutes from Angel Stadium and just got hooked up with free tickets to A1 from VP Racing so maybe I'll see a few of you guys there!

Free tickets to A1? Can't complain about that. That's awesome.

I haven't played any MX related game in years because I got bored of them and the last few releases from the Nordic team weren't up to par. Last one I played was the first MXGP game possibly the 2nd one. Been a while, I know that much.

Recently I've been playing Assassin's Creed Origins. I just completed that one so now I'm playing Call of Duty: WWII until new DLC content is released for Origins. Playing the campaign first then I'll jump online.

I haven't gotten Origins yet, I'm waiting for a steam sale right now and I'll just play it on PC.

And yeah I've gone to every season opener since like '94 and rarely miss an Anaheim race, as well as many San Diego and Vegas races since the 90s. Usually go to Washougal Glen Helen and Hangtown, saw that legendary '06 battle with Stew and RC, Went to Pastranas first race at the old Supercross World championship at the Rose Bowl, the first Monster Cup where RV won the million, as well as the des Nations in Colorado. Planning on going to Red Bud for the des Nations too.

The season pass is included with the pre-order. But you're right on the fact that it comes out cheaper if you get it.

Not everything is included with the season pass. You get some perks but in most cases there's always more stuff available for purchase.

That's the reason I'll pre-order the game. It's not going to cost me more money to do so and I get a free season pass which is going to include some cool stuff.

For those that don't pre-order the game there's going to be a fee to get the season pass. Not sure how much Milestone is going to sell it for. It could be $10 or $40. It all depends on the content they'll be putting out and what they think it's worth. Obviously it's not that important if you're a casual fan but most of us on here that plan on getting the game will put a lot of hours into it so it makes complete sense to pre-order the game.

How much does it retail for on the PlayStation store? I've never bought a digital game so maybe you can answer the following question. If you purchase a game from the PSN store does it take space on your PS4 hard drive or is it stored on their cloud system? If it's stored on their cloud system how many gb of storage/free space does PlayStation give you? Is it possible to purchase additional space or is it unlimited? Thanks.

Strange; Sony (PlayStation store) offers the bonus redfire custom rider pack, but pre-ordering from Gamestop makes no mention of it.

Gamestop online or in stores? I know that with some games if you order from different places (Gamestop, Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc.) or different consoles you get different perks. I doubt it'll be the case with this game so even if it's not mentioned it'll more than likely be the same perks.

I'm with you there man! Hadn't missed an a1 until a few years ago. Was also at Glen Helen that year, the first monster cup and TP first race at the rose bowl. Tried to get Fonsecas autograph but he blew us off and Travis had no problem giving us autographs in the stands. Maybe I'll see you at a1!

I'm really looking forward to this game. Only issues I see are the sliding into corners and the floating look while jumping. Never been a fan of that in any game. Otherwise it looks great

The sliding looks horrible.

But overall looks better than what we have seen before.

It always blows my mind why the body of the rider is so stiff, I mean his core body reacts to absolutely nothing on the track... is it immune to gravity and forces? this kind of subtle animations and movement would be one of the more simple things to implement and still it's left out..

Cooper in that video pins it across the flat and no aggression or movement is shown, his throttle arm doesn't even rotate, i cannot understand why these fundamental things are left out when they could make some of the biggest changes to gameplay. Even when he's sitting into a lip, no compression of the rider or anything. Baffles me.

That's super cool! I know few people remember Rose Bowl being Travis' first race, Fonseca won but Pastrana was leading most of it until he blew a section.

Would have to double check, it has been awhile since I have played anything online since I only have the PS3 at the moment.

Pretty sure it is Aaryn234 though.

Will let you know Xmas day when I set the PS4 up Smile

Man, I'm so pumped for this game. A1 in less than 3 weeks then Feb 13th for our Supercross game. Great start to 18!!

There's always things people rip apart and dislike about a game. Given the complaints on here so far, I think this is gonna be a great game. Compaining about the hay bales, rider movement, sliding, those are all minor things. I think it does look goofy how many times Cooper head bangs in that video (unless he's listening to some metal) but other than that the gameplay looks smooth.

Also, it's nice seeing they were already scanning riders for what I'd assume will be the 2018 SX game at Angel Stadium last weekend. Shows they're in it for the long haul. Now will milestone be putting out mxgp 4 in 2018? Will there ever be a AMA Motocross milestone game?

Yeah, some of the complaints are trivial in the grand scheme. One thing also to consider is that very rarely does a gameplay video do the game justice. I've found games usually play better than they look.

It looks great to me. Not perfect but great. And a huge, huge, huge leap in what we've had as far as replicating our actual AMA series.

I'm not really sure what to think of the new preview. The graphics do look better. There is some body motion on the bike which are pluses. But I'm really unsure of why they added the sliding effect going into the corners. And it seems to have more of a "boost" coming out of the corners. Please, for the love of God Milestone, do not go the MX vs ATV route. I see this as little steps in that directions. Please don't. I know the track in this preview didn't show ruts and could be due to the kind of dirt this track is, but track deformation in MXGP 3 was awesome. I loved being able to lay it into a rut and get my lap times lower by creating my own lines. There doens't appear to be ruts on the face of the jumps. Please do not take this away. And there's nothing to show they're going through actual whoops. The bike barely moves. This is disappointing. The whip looks a little more animated.

Because coding and texturing movements of the human body is the single hardest thing to do in game design, and it's really limited by the engine you use to build it. It's also directly related to your budget for artists and designers dedicated to the movements of the person. I'm going to bet while Milestone obviously has a good budget they don't have the staff or technical expertise to match what you see in shooter games like COD. It's a case of doing the best you can with what you've got.

Come to think of it you might want to start it in moto-related since more people tend to check that page more than anything else.

I suggested non-moto because technically that's where it belongs but do as you please. Start with a search on the forum. From what I remember there's quite a few names there that you could send out invites.

Pretty certain you'll have a decent amount of people in no time. After all the Xbox is the more popular console.

As Wayne and Garth would say "Game On"

I really like that this video was put out there. This way Milestone can get feedback and start working on complaints before the release. Or a patch the closer we get to release. This is the smart idea (ahem, Nordic, looking at you).

I'm not sure where I read this but I remember something was said about the Unreal Engine 4 platform. It was something along the lines of it's a very powerful engine and one of the best out there but it's not optimal when it comes to racing/car games and things had to be tweaked for this game or the Nordic game (perhaps both).

You do make a good point on budgets. With Monster being a title sponsor I have no doubt Milestone has a good budget but compared to the Call of Duty franchise it's peanuts. Those big AAA games are multi-billion dollar franchises. Like you said, they do the best they can with what they have. That said the Milestone team has come a very long ways in a short amount of time since they first released MUD. I haven't played their last couple of games but it looks like things improved with each game they have released.

In my opinion it's worth it to go out and pre-order/purchase this upcoming game and show them support.

Very good idea! I will go ahead and do that today and try and get more people in.

I suggested non-moto because technically that's where it belongs but do as you please. Start with a search on the forum. From what I remember there's quite a few names there that you could send out invites.

Pretty certain you'll have a decent amount of people in no time. After all the Xbox is the more popular console.

As Wayne and Garth would say "Game On"
I started it in non moto like you suggested, I don’t wanna get bitched at too much lol but if I don’t get many replies I’ll post here as well.
