1. “About Tree Fiddy”
2. “...Factory ECU...”
3. “...Torque sprocket bolts...”

Just stop. They’re all WAY too played out. Enough is enough.

I have seen two people have sprocket failures since Peely's Torque sprocket bolts original comment.

Both times the first thing that came to mind were this forum and Peely!

I would say if both these riders were Vital Forum Members, these two failures would have never happened.

Anyone on this board actually go riding now without checking their sprocket bolts, I can't help myself now.

I've often wondered how the factory ecu & torqued spockets came about?

Ill tell ya how

Have you heard the tragedy of Darth Peelout the wise?

I thought not. It's not a story any Vitard would tell you. It's a VitalMX legend. Darth Peelout was a Dark Lord of Vital, so powerful and so wise he could use the Torque to influence the midichlorians to create tension... He had such a knowledge of the torque side that he could even keep the hubs he cared about from breaking. The torque side of the Vital is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his own torque spec, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice loosened his sproket bolts in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from broken hubs, but not himself.

Thank you, sir. This is a perfect example of the good work Vital - particularly peely - is doing by keeping this important maintenance practice on the "front burner." And I couldn't agree more as to what has become an obsession - the constant checking of my own sprocket bolts. I even find myself walking through the pits checking the bikes of complete strangers.

I can't see how the sprocket bolt torque thing is "played out." Vital is doing a great service to the men and women actually out there...
I can't see how the sprocket bolt torque thing is "played out." Vital is doing a great service to the men and women actually out there on the tracks riding and racing. By keeping this important maintenance practice in the forefront, it's quite possible that Vital - particularly Peelout - have saved lives and thousands of dollars all across the planet.

It's pure carnage out there when neglected sprocket bolts come loose. Sprocket bolts flying around are like shrapnel. I heard the Germans used to pack their 88 shells with old sprocket bolts and nuts and used them to bring down B-17 bombers.

And what about the rider and his motorcycle - which now has a blown out hub, a chewed up swing arm and perhaps a cracked left case. Worse, should the neglected bolts come loose in mid-flight, the rider faces a nasty landing with a jammed up chain - to say nothing of his now freely spinning sprocket which is now something akin to one of those Chinese throwing stars.

Played out? I think not.

There would be CARNAGE, and it would be BAD!!!

Sprocket bolt connected to the rear hub.
Rear hub connected to the axle.
Axle connected to the swingarm and the wheel goes round & round.
Swingarm connected to the linkage.
Linkage connected to the shock bolt.
Shock bolt connected to the Showa and the Honda goes upside down.
Showa connected to the bent frame.
Bent frame connected to the twin pipes.
Twin pipes got mangled in the big crash now the Honda is much too loud.
Loud pipes connected to the closed track.
Closed tracks connected to less bike sales.
Less bikes connected to less everything..... Man I wish we'd kept the two strokes now.

Haha well done. I enjoyed this.
