this lead thing affects them also?
I got several here that kids race and a parent called me saying he could not get a crank/piston/all the pieces in between, from anyone.
I thought it was just little pit type bikes.

They are to receive credit for all parts, but keep all parts on hand, in case of a turn around in the ban.
They were asked to store all units, and will be charged no flooring fees.

They say there may be some amendments or adjustments coming soon to rectify their f-ups but nothing solid yet.
Write your senator?
Its a mess.
There is lead in just about every type of metal out there, it is part of the manufacturing process, in some it is a by-product of the process. In fact the silverware you eat with, the metal door handles on your car and house, dresser, toilet handle, alum baseball bats, dog collars, hockey skates,etc..
All these metal items have trace amounts of lead in them, but you will not be exposed to it unless you decide to chew them up and eat them. The big 4 (Honda,Yamaha, etc,) decided to VOLUNTARILY withdraw their products from the market. The CPSC did not ban any of these vehicles,or their parts.
you'd probably have to drive across into Canada and buy them but it's probably still illegal to do that though.
Pit Row
You can get anything else.
Think about it even the silverware sold at walmart should be taken off the shelf because kids use it. People are just over reacting to this whole thing.
If the parts manufacturers are afraid all they have to do is label the boxes "not for use by children under 12". Then it will be just like car parts that they label "for offroad use only" but everyone sticks them on their street car anyways.
Post a reply to: so I can't buy parts for KX85's CR85's?
