I am the AJS with #444, done nicely in white athletic tape! Looks like I am nearly cheating, too. Saddleback Saturday MX 1971.

These days I am my birthday month/year...952

Joeys # 35 was the same as his dad. Held national #1 and #7 too but always ran 35.

I used to run my AMA number in the 70's then each year as i moved up i took what ever number i finished. I ran #1 many times but if i lost a district championship i hated to go back to #2 or 3 or what ever i got so in the last 10 years i ran #11x and they let me have it no matter what i earn any more! I guess its a benefit of being one of the older guys still racing for points each week in MN.

now 5s (s for slow)

I rode once with a guy who ran #69. Rode an 85 CR500 and shaved an X in his head.
was gassing up his bike with a lit cig in his mouth, a spark flew out and burned his tent down. too funny.

I am a bad Mufuka!
This one truly made me LOL.

And the one about the #69 burning his tent down was too much as well. :D

I've been #58 since 1989. I'm glad to see nobody else claiming my number in here. hehe.

Joey was the one with the national numbers not his dad.
Its Joey Peters and his dad who raced locally here in New Jersey was Ray (but everybody knows him as Joe)
