This bike is going to be a slow process. I'm in no rush at all and honestly just burnt out on building bikes for the moment. I have built the motor and the pipes can back from pacific crest. The pipes were built and tuned specifically for the team to adapt the old style cylinder to the new motor. Anyone who has done the hop swap knows the pipes are a bit tricky to get to fit perfect. Thanks to Billy'slad for hooking it up with the cylinder. Pacific crest did a great job on the pipes, considering what they had to work with.

Did you get a 95 cylinder for it?
Billy'slad actually had an original team cylinder. One of the old mechanics had a bulk of them and they got sold on eBay. He picked up from eBay so it's perfect. just had to have it replated.

Did a little change up. I found another set of 47mm factory kit forks and shock. That what the team actually used vs the 49mm stuff. I personally like the 47's because the are so rare. I also like the torquise vs the gold. Also, installed the motor. Just waiting on parts and will slowly build it little by little. No rush on this bike as I am currently burnt out on bike building.

Yeah I got lucky. The 47mm stuff is like a chicken with teeth these days. The 49mm kit I had was nicer on the upper tubes, but I can just get these re kashima coated. I may even find a set of tubes with will see what happens.

Thanks Jeff! Did you ever end up with some rm kit suspension yet? I know you have been looking for a while now.

I did! Thanks to you and Shaun for the connection! I'll probably end up getting it towards the end of this next week. I also picked up that new Aluminum tank that was in the Bazaar. I have her all torn down and waiting on some stuff here and building her back up from scratch.

Hey Robert , my RM 250 is an 06'. The set pictured above is the exact set I'm getting , except Thomas upgraded my rear shock to an 18mm shaft instead of a 16mm. They do seem to be in really , really good shape for how old they are. After they get here , Shaun said he could help me get a custom set of Applied clamps too. Can't wait to try these out and see how well I can get them dialed.

A little work on the rear brake. I put the ti hardware. The bike is slowly taking form. Basically just need all the little nic mac pieces, wheels, and put the radiators on. It's always the small stuff, like the plastic Parts for the swing arm, cables, and stupid radiators hose clamps.

Although I don't have all of the back story, I bought this bike back in 2003 and ostensibly it was Grayson Goodman's practice bike from Plano Honda. It had a lot of trick stuff but it clearly didn't have everything a works bike would have like Ti bolts and washers and such. It was a 250 and was extremely tight and had huge low-end power.
