That's another 2.1 lb saved making mine into an '18. Kickstart mechanism removed.

I've been burning the crap out of my pants and boots with the PC pipe... no heat shield offered. Otherwise it's badass

They run pretty good, you can definitely feel more power out of the bike with them although the stock system was not that bad at all. They´re a lot more noisy, i believe both holes are the same size on the PCs while on the stock cans one is bigger than the other. So far i´ve been running the second map on the bike with them and its been flawless, no changes in that department

Seriously tempted to move from my 16 CRF250R to a 17 (don't like the 18 with ES, price increase, etc.) just don't know if I can handle it lol.

This is not my bike, a friend that I race with owns it. Just thort you guys might find it interesting. He had a kxf450 before, and didn't want to sell his expensive wheels, so he made some spacer rings for the sprocket and rear disc, and just had to make a new axle spacer for the right hand side of the front wheel. (Sorry the bike is dirty)

Is there a way to tell which bikes are susceptible to the case cracking or are they all at risk?

If they knew they would be fixed at the factory or replaced at the showroom.

The pre-prod ones allegedly had an issue, I have not seen or heard of any other failures.

To my knowledge. They are the same as the regular R model.

All plastics are the same except for the shrouds. Bolts in different spots for the bigger plastic gas tank. Acerbis has them.

Does anyone make shrouds without the texture in the center yet? I know Polisport has the texture at least.

I replaced the 2 rear tank bolts w/ zipties and it seemed to have a slight effect. Seemed to give me a softer feel over smaller braking bumps at Cahuilla. The same article suggested removing the mid-pipe bolts, that I haven't tried.

How tight are you running the zip ties? Snug or just enough to hold it
