'07 CR125 build questions

I purchased a 2007 CR125 blown up motor off eBay for $300 bucks. I currently have 2003 CR134 that I ride on the side. I'm looking to put this motor in my '03 chassis (or find another chassis). I know the CR's are absolute slugs but they are fun play bikes, for me anyways.

While doing the rebuild, I'm looking to find a 05-07 cylinder, powervalve, and head.
I will be punching the cylinder to a 144cc with some other motor mods.

What would you guys do? How were the '05-'07 CR125s? I'm not looking to break the bank, just to rebuild it and to have another CR125 in the garage!

Replying so you get a bump. I think people generally like the 05-07 125s and consider them the best of the 3rd gen aluminum framed bikes. But I believe in terms of performance, the 90s 125 motors with the Mugen kits might be the best.

I raced 125 mod on an '04 cr125,. A race carb made the biggest difference. Ditch the stock carb for a 38mm Keihin PWM.

put a 99 and down motor in it HPP is your friend

You will need all of the 05-07 electronics for it to run properly.

I have all the wiring I do believe, I MAY need a CDI box if they aren't the same from 03
