Supercross simulator

What you see is my first edition of a supercross simulator. We are currently booked into many nationals as well as a few Grand Prix and fingers crossed for mxon.
What do you think about bringing it to the AMA events?

Interesting idea, but calling it a simulator may be a bit of a stretch. Looks like you watch a gopro video on the screen and the bike tries to replicate what the bike in the video is doing.

I welcome all views. What does a simulator do if not replicate the video?

Well its a ride not a simulator. A simulator allows you to manipulate the controls and it responds visually and mechanically to those inputs, but you know that. Still cool, but i would call it a ride for your own benefit. That being the case sight and sound are the biggest thing. Think dark room and headphones....

Yeah its supercross the ride. Look up road race dimulator or F1 simulator.
Looks cool though id give 5.00 to go 20 laps on it.

I get that. But they are computer game oriented, I wanted to build one using live footage.
Commercial simulators in the past have been like a space shuttle on rams. And it follows a video.
I wanted something a bit more realistic (obviously it can't be that realistic) but it certainly is different.

Construct an Oculus Rift VR as a goggle. Keep the same concept, stream VR footage.

It's pretty rad, my son had a go a few weeks ago at a race we were at, he's 14 and rides pretty well but doesn't race and he loved it, check my instagram for a video @kx500steve
It looked pretty busy at Hawkstone earlier this year too.

I agree that VR seems like the way to go with this.

I think a VR headset would definitely add to the immersion.
