iPhone users,

If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for monthly phone / internet service? I'm thinking about canceling my home DSL internet + two cell phone bills, and replacing them with an iPhone or two.

Checked the apple website, but they require your SS# and do a credit check to give a quote. I have excellent credit and want to avoid their rectal exam.

Skype is free, but there is an annoying echo?? You can tell when someone is calling you from Skype. Wonder if all Iphones have the same bad connections....

I switched to cable for local and long distance... $25 per month, $10 each additional line, with free long distance... and a bunch of other cable freebies that I didn't really need, but thanks. Didn't lower my cable bill, but did eliminate my 'phone' bill.

Sorry, my question was directed at iPhone users specifically (edited the original post).
My office-mate paid $75/month for his first gen (unlimited internet) and $85/month when he got the 3G. Is that a flat rate?

My iphone bill is 120 a month. I think thats what it is anyhow, thats with taxes and what not. I get 1500 text messages, 900 anytime minutes, free nights/weekends, unlimited multimedia access, and cingular customers call eachother for free as well. Hope that helps.

On a side note I came across this photo looking for iPhone info. I'd forgotten that Jobs/Apple invented the mouse (not to mention the whole desktop icon interface). Pretty cool.

Not quite.

Jobs stole the mouse and the GUI from PARC

He just knew and understood what he saw better than anyone else

I have original iphone and my bill is about $80 per month-900 minutes. 1500 text messages, and unlimited nights and weekends. Had another smartphone before with Verizon and it was $30 more. Granted if you have the 3g iphone then expect a little more for the same plan because of the 3g. You can get the price plans online.

On a side note-I've had so many smart phones over the years-just that geeky side of me and the iphone is by far the best one. Just an amazing piece of software and so damn easy and functional. I don't know why people gripe about the camera because it's the best camera I've ever had on a phone. Takes great pictures.

Oops.... found the price plans online. All the links I was clicking before (at Apple and AT&T) were asking for a SS#.

Are you currently with AT&T?

If so, you can always keep your existing package and add the iphone service to it. That is what I did.

My plan is unlimited text, 1500 anytime minutes, iphone package along with the wifes blackberry and my mother in laws basic cell.

We pay 150.00 tax and all.

I'm with AT&T. Wife and I both have iPhones and we have two kids with lines. We all have unlimitted texting and data and share 1400 min per month for about $200 OTD. Hope that helps.
