Anybody heard anything further on Trey Canard's practice collarbone injury recently? Seems like it's been a while since it happened, and I haven't seen any other info-blurb or press release about it. I hope the guy isn't out for the 2017 Outdoors no matter if he's a free agent in 2018 or not.

It only happened three days ago. I'm sure there's not much more additional news at this point.

I'm scared for Trey to come back.....

I like the guy, hes one of the best guys in the sport ( personality ) but I don't want to see him hurt again. Is it bad that at this point it seems like not "if" but "when" ?. Sad

They should know by now if there is more damage done that just a broken collarbone or not. Thus, one would think they had an idea if Trey would be healed and able to be on the line at Hangtown if he chose to.

I'm with you for a change, dirtnapper. I'm a fan of both the man and the racer that is Trey Canard. It kind of scares me too to see him go back out. I doubt that he's made the millions that a champion might, but he's probably made enough to keep his family comfortable for life if he invested it right. I think it might be time to consider backing away from active racing if I were him...

Once you see a guy get hurt so many times I think that's somewhat normal. I know when Pastrana was still racing I actually got very nervous for the dude every time he lined up on the gate.

I've been on that same boat for years now. He's good for a few weeks then bam. Another injury. Poor guy.

Considering Trey is a very popular lifetime FLY Racing athlete, and Weston is the only one to have a replica helmet next year I'm saying this is Trey's last go around. KTM was a one year contract and I can't see him returning. Might not have been the ideal send off season but if he decides that's it, I say to him, congratulations and thank you very much. Long live Trey Canard, great rider and even a better man.

The good news behind Trey's retirement (if there is one) is that he is such a good PR guy, and has such a great personality that the sky's the limit to what he can accomplish at his young age. No doubt he'll be much more deeply involved in some sort of ministry, but he could give back to the sport in any of many different ways as well. Everybody seems to like the guy (a la Andrew Short) and he would be a great spokesman for a manufacturer (a la Shorty). Maybe KTM would keep him on in that capacity.
