1979 Yamaha TT500 - Whats it worth?

Edited Date/Time 4/23/2017 4:32pm
Not even sure on the year.. it looks to be all original and starts right up. The story is the seller bought it and was not what he wanted, so he bought an YZ250 and this has sat in his garage until a few weeks ago.

Whats a reasonable price to expect to pay?

1978. The following year they were orange. Can't help on the value though.

A low hour bike like that is worth a high price to me
Those bars should be first to go
That bike is fresh

I am very interested in this bike should you elect to sell it.
Please contact me when you are ready to sell it!

That's a 78...but regardless, that's a clean/original example.

In some areas of the country, that would fetch $3500 without hesitation. That's assuming it runs good, rubber is good, etc. Anywhere in the $2800-$3200 would be a pretty good deal.

All depends on your planned usage; if you are trying to make money off of it, that could be tricky as a lot of people looking for those either want one to race or are expecting to pay $2000 (I have 4 of them, recently tried to sell a good running, original condition 77 and everyone lowballed me...).

Almost looks too nice to race. And those stock shocks and forks suuuuuuck.
