We had this discussion last year. Riding for PC doesn't have any advantage at all. Guys will go the same speed on another team.

The Geico Hondas are as close to PC bikes as any. So if thats the case why didnt Weimer have this success last year?

Why is Metcalf having just as good of results as last year on an FC honda?

A lot of little things to make one big thing...

Pro Circuit's history...

The desire to be the best...

The support from the factory...

The proper budgets too give the mechanics and riders the equipment (on and off the track) they need to win...

The opportunity to be a winner...

I dont think you will get an argument from anyone in the pits that the PC bikes are a better machine than most but that dont mean the others are junk.
The history of that team is what attracts the dominant riders. And dominant riders on dominant bikes just win.
Not mentioning any names but i know for a fact that there have been riders that were offered more to ride for other teams but they wanted to ride for Mitch becuase of the reputation and popularity of the team.
Sort of like the New York Yankees. The history of the organization and the mystique of playing for them is what attracts the top players. Yea i know the money doesnt hurt but im sure you get the point im trying to make. The team is proven, they are popular, they get most of the press, and the Monster symbol is cool to the little guys.
The program is a marketing masterpeice!!!

Yes this is true, but the reason they have the money is because of their proven success they have had over the years. And with thats success comes the financial benefits of being able to afford the top guys that want to play for you. What do they have 30 world titles or some shit like that.
I would bet that 90% of the players in Baseball would tell you if they had their choice they would be a Yankee.
And im sure if you asked the riders, 90% of them would want to ride for Mitch.
Its just the way it is dude.
I dont think their program is that much more dominant than a few of the others, its simply the mystique of riding for them and the top guys they have been fortunate to have.
Does anyone think that if RV was on a FC bike he wouldnt have had the same success?
Not hardly, he still would have had numerous titles and we probably would be talking about how FC was the new powerhouse.

Maybe it is the little money Mitch pays them but gives them incentives like win bonuses.
Maybe the other teams should take note. (and the round-a-bout begins)

I heard Mitch does not pay past 2nd place and even a second is only worth like 17 dollars or something. 1st place on the other hand pays over a hundred stacks per event.

Matt is correct.

We have had this fight for several years now, and it always comes down to "nothing"

Both Matt, Spinner, myself and others were beaten into submission by many on this forum into believing that the PC has no advantage over any other team.

Well then how do you explain Weimers success? If you ask me he is a totally different rider than last year.....

The big thing that sets PC apart is that Mitch is always prepared. The homework is done far in advance, the machines are always prepared, and the budget is always secure. Mitch is always ready to go racing. That is the difference.

You gotta hand it to Weimer. He is always up front and thus every spot Dungey loses is a setback in the points race.
Weimer seems to be just hitting his flow. Dungey goes into a race with an agenda to win, but when things don't go his way he seems to panic and over-ride. Just my observation. Dungey is an awesome rider, but Weimer has a slight mental edge.
Definitely more exciting than the "snore-50 class" though.
