Any AMA sanctioned Motocross races in your neighborhood? Off road and Vintage are the only I can think in this corner of the West.

I'm sure Kip knows what he is doing with all of this experience.

"Bigelow said a priority in his new role is enhancing the relationship between the AMA and its regional Districts."

From what I understood being communicated at the AMA Congress meeting, the AMA is not concerned about state/regional districts in the big picture of things.

I hope he can bring it all together

Glen Helen is only a few hours away, as is Hangtown.....they're close enough, granted his appointment doesn't effect me one iota, but i think it's better then some fat ass who doesn't know or really care about motocross anyway running the show....IMO

That's awesome news.

I can't believe the AMA would lose touch with its Districts in the first place. This organization really, really needed a sweeping out. Not addressing anyone in particular, but there was some obvious croneyism going on.

Glen Helen and Hangtown are AMA Pro. This position is for AMA Amateur sanctioned events. I.e Local Motocross like Sand Hill. Whitelock is still running AMA Pro.

Two different organizations as I read it.

None up here as you prob know Tiki.

The old days was mostly all AMA/Dist. 36 races MX, you name it....

Hey, you know Jeff Spoor and Dennis Vetter...? Both have roots in your neck there....

Both raced up here and down there; I talked to Spoor when that for sure Plymouth race got cancelled and know Jeffs dad lives in your town....wondering..

World Mini's in Vegas is NMA. National Motorsport Assoication. Just illustrating, the west is a lot of Motocross and the AMA has nothing out here. It works the way it is, and I am stoked to see the AMA get involved where they can, they just need to expand their efforts. Maybe this will help.

I know of Spoor, and I Know Dennis. Dennis is a hard man to catch. Track or Trail I think he hides wings under his jersey. Great guy to ride singletrack with. Knows all the best trails and always teaches me a thing or two. Dennis races the class above me, he really goes.
