That was hilarious...and that's because it was true & Matthes nailed it like a good stand up comedian.

And yet he doesn't think it's utterly fucking ridiculous that to watch the outdoors we need to be Watching a mix between the internet coverage and scrambling different channels as they separate Motos. He has left me dumbfounded on that one, it doesn't get any more fucking stupid than that.

IN baseball, watch innings 1-3 on REDBULL internet tv, then innings 4-6 on ESPN, finally you can see 7-9 on Mavtv. How does that work?

Maybe RC had fire coming out his ears in the booth and nobody wanted to address the elephant in the room out of fear of the GOAT wrath? Jk.

I think the distinction is, that one is easily fixable and within the hands of people on "our" side of the power-struggle... ie Ralph and Fro could be all over that shit easily.

The channels thing? Fuck man, i'm happy if it's same day honestly.

I don't necessarily need to watch the motos live so I'd rather they broke it up by classes. Run both motos of one class on one channel in a consistent time slot each week. The other class could be shown on a different channel at a different time.

What confuses me about all these guys that get fully pissed off about the commentators is, why do they need them to say the things they already know? Like Matthes knew Bogle wasn't qualifying cause he had the timing screen and all that (I understand that he wanted a camera on him) so why does he need Ralph and Jeff to mention it? Is it an exposure thing? The commentators are pretty much just saying stuff haha like I'll listen to them and shit but I don't need them to tell me what's happening and neither does anyone that's in here.. I just don't know why people get so angry about it!

I'm not saying that as if they shouldn't, I'm just confused as to why and will listen to the assorted reasons and bullshit excuses if anyone can be bothered givin them

Exposure is one thing but more importantly, guys in the booth should have give a heads up to the director live to focus on Bogle which would have put him on the spot to keep an eye out for the 19. Also, a top guy like Bogle going last to 6th is something I want to watch more than someone out front keeping it conservative.

Although, I think they made up for it following the Dungey / Seely last lap battle in the main.

I'm with you. I'm usually just fixated on watching the racing and studying the riders lines and technique. All the stuff they say is mostly just a filler. I catch some of the stupid things they say and immediately forget about it. I usually never even consider if they suck at their jobs or not until I get on here and see people bitching about it. Yeah I definitely get that and same here but is that all on them though? Surely there's a spotter or someone that is looking for the action, I'd say they've got enough to do trying to find the story in what they're looking at.. I'd almost say they were trying to give the other guys in the lcq the more exposure cause they more than likely won't at any other time in the broadcast (I only just thought of that haha)

True. Plus it was a different production crew than past rounds and seemed pretty limited than usual. So everything was different for that show last week than what we've been used to.

Im guessing the Fox Sports crew (Jeff Ralph Jenny Director Producer) were the same as every other week. Difference being not saying Monster or Feld every 10 seconds.

Chet Burks was the production team putting it all together for FS at Daytona. Check the credits. They haven't done any previous SX rounds this season.

Its tough to do 9 rounds in a row with a solid crew and then throw a huge 1 round change up half way.

I understand Steve's frustration. When you hear the crowd in the background constantly screaming, and you're watching someone riding alone out front I get furious. I understand if it happens occasionally, but GD every fing heat, semi, lcq, main! Ralph and Jeff stating some stupid obvious comment like Jordon Smith on his red Honda (????). One you're wrong, two who gives a shit!

Could they acknowledge what the F is going on? "You can hear the crowd roaring because so and so got together off camera". What we get are two monotone broadcasters dead to the world, talking about something no one fing cares about.

Thank you for providing us with live SX. But could you put a little more thought into the GD production???

he was ranting about people screwing off on the internet and social media while at work instead of working... and how they could listen to the broadcast if they weren't worried about their employer hearing. he related it to something about stealing from their employers. ;^)
