I hope so. They tried to make it a GP type event. That is not what MX is about in the states. We need local pros there trying to make the show. We also need more racing going on. I was at REDBUD last year and was bored to death.

You must earn your way in by scoring points but...............AMA Pro Racing may issue a license to any rider who does not meet the above criteria if it
determines, in its sole discretion, that the rider has adequate competition experience.

Seems weird that the Amateur day's at the Nationals pay double points and so does Lorretta Lynns......which has far greater competion.

Also seems weird that the points have to be accumulated in a 12 month time frame?

If you get 75 points over two years doesn't that make you even MORE experienced?

Or do they just want the fastest of the fast? Winners only?

If so don't give out points for anything less than 5th. If you ain't getting 5th at the AM day at the Nationals in the A class............running pro seems to be a waste of your damn time and money. And yo daddies too.

Huh?? Points are paid all the way to 20th.

If you can't accumulate 75 points in that schedule over a years time do you really think you deserve a pro card? Just asking.

Running Pro for all but the factory guys has always been a waste of time and money where have you been.

The amount of points given out is a lie. It's dependent upon how many people show up. I don't have my rule book anymore but the race doesn't even count unless there's like 8 or more people. And if there's that many, first on down only get half the points. That list is for 25+ racers on the line if I remember correctly.

Also, amateur day. They end up making Thursday count for ONLY 250F pro-am classes, and Friday only counts for 450F pro-am classes. Figured that out the hard way, win 1-1 one day and it doesn't count then get rained out the next. Imagine winning on what you thought was a double point day and you just earned your license only to find you got nothing. Thanks AMA.

I drove for days last year to get to a race and was one person shy of the races counting, won every moto, just about went postal on the AMA. Not my fault so few people showed up, but I paid my $4+ a gallon along with everything else to get there.

/end rant.

The lady that is the contact for pro cards is as clueless as they come. She doesn't even know what a Lorreta Lynn's Regional is or if it was an AMA event! If you want your pro card be SURE to record and SEND your results and points to her! Otherwise she can't help you.

Wasn't complaining about how long it was, I was just pointing out how impossible it was to miss it.

They removed the LTM round in Casey, IL? Bummer, was one of my favorite races to go to. Saw some amazing races, and saw Justin Sipes QUAD the uphill whoops. Gnar.
