If the media had to pay $200 per event, parking $50 and $25 per ticket they would feel the same as Seely.
That part is actually part of what I've been told is inaccurate, as Cole's family tickets are taken care of by Feld and there's no charge for him to park a bus at the races.

He was talking about privateers in 3rd person when he was talking. Not himself.

Final call on removing it was mine, but when they tell me that it's been altered and doesn't represent the original interview they gave, then yes, I removed it. The interview still exists on that website, so it's not like I removed it from existence, but I'm choosing not to support it on this website because of what I've been told by the party involved in the interview.

What if the other side said it was accurate? You got one side of the story here. Agent and rider deemed it unfavorable. Based on that you acted on it. What if it was accurate, but still unfavorable? Who benefits by having it removed? Rider and agent. So isn't it possible they will obviously say it was taken out of context?

I agree. Cole was asked a question. Cole answered it. If he wants to later clarify his position then fine. Just seems so strange for rider and agent to contact forum admin to have threads removed. And forum admin complies and deletes threads.

This is the bro down crap I mentioned in another thread about media coverage. Why do Cole and his agent have any say on what is discussed here? I find that bizarre.

Can I have a thread deleted I deem unfavorable? No? Why not? Why can Cole and his agent have threads deleted?

Sorry for rambling and complaining. I just find it strange.

Just voicing my position on threads being deleted and disagreeing with the reasons provided. It's your site so I respect your decisions. You have your reasons. It's your site. I respect it. Just don't agree with it. That's all.

I'll move on from this thread.

Not a fan of filtered news.

Privateers don't have to pay for parking in the team pits and all riders get a small/limited allotment of tickets/passes.

To be very clear, there was no misrepresentation. If Cole's agent doesn't feel comfortable with the comments made and would prefer it not be run through Vital, I suppose I can understand, but I also feel like his transparency was a breath a fresh air, and has the interest of the riders at heart. It bums me out that the credibility of the interview has come into play. At the end of the day, Cole's agent wasn't there; I have the sound byte, and just listened to it again...and it is word for word.

Stuff like this is kind of funny, because now you can all but guarantee it's been read more now and is a bigger deal than it was before it got deleted

I'm going over to that other site right now to give them clicks and read the article again to see what all the fuss is about.

Okay, but we weren't there for the interview. It was also in print, so how would we know if it was accurate or not? We have to take the word of someone we don't know, versus the word of someone we do?

It's also funny when this happens (for the record, haven't heard Cole do this)

"All those people in vital are idiots. Nobody pays attention to that shit"

(Something about them gets posted on vital)

"Shit, get that taken down off vital."

After reading the interview I thought "Wow Cole Seely is a bad ass, speaking out like that takes balls." Now to hear that he's saying he didn't say those things and it was taken out of context kinda bums me out.

It's a he-said, she-said situation in a way. I've never met nor heard of the person on the one-side of the interview nor have any past work to hold up to his claims. I do however have two members on the other side saying there are miss-quoted answers in there related to questions that aren't presented in the interview as they were at the time of the interview. Also as I stated above, the interview isn't be hosted on our website, it exists on its own source. I didn't delete it from public eyes, I just chose based on what I know to not have it displayed on our website. You're free to read it at its home and believe every word in it if you'd like. But because of it's questionable truth and the response against it I received, I've chosen not to have it pushed through this website.
What about jumping in the thread and calling the OP out on his bullshit? It seems like you could have set the record straight and created a 20 pager all at the same time. Also, it would have given the OP a chance to defend himself. I'm your biggest supporter, but this one stinks a little.

Believe it or not, I don't want 20 pagers all the time. I'm really busy this week and I don't have time to babysit a huge back-and-forth.

And I'm just sitting here waiting on someone to accept an offer, contemplating pizza or a nap, and I need a 20 pager to kill the time!

You don't have to explain yourself to me, you do a great job. Not everyone is going to agree 100% of the time.

Huh 20 pagers get the most views. That's your bread and butter bro.

I think the appropriate thing to do is to talk the person on the other side of the story and get to the truth. I find that last comment quite disturbing coming from a media source.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I might be up for the unpopular person of the day award, but I'll take it. It was my decision and I'll stand behind it.

I think we should have one thread that never gets moderated, never deleted, just an all out, airing of grievances.
