if i did as piss poor job in my workplace as those 3 do, i would have been canned the first week. having to listen to them reminds me of being at the detist and hearing the drills...

this is supercross and motocross. it is supposed to be shown in a positive and professional manner. turn on ANY other racing broadcast and you will see how it is supposed to be presented. every other form of racing get's it right. SX on tv is a fuggin joke and it's easy to see why people flip the channel after a couple minutes.

bates badgering the riders while bumbling like and idiot and Ralph and Jeff gargling while spit polishing bubbas nuts is hardly professional.

i understand it's tough, as are most things, but after 4 years of fucking it up, you would think the higher ups would look at their 3 reporters and realize the problem.

and don't get me started on the Educating the Viewers About Supercross... that shit got old in 2005. not every viewer has the comprehension of a 3 year old. my 2 year old nephew can explain in detail the definition of a seat bounce fer shits sakes.

ps... all credit to Fro as a person and as a champion.

Well put peelout. Let's put the feelings aside for a second and look at the professional side of this Holigan. Bates has been doing this for YEARS, she should know better by now. You're right, I've never had some producer telling me what to say through an ear piece while I'm trying to conduct an interview... but that's not my job, it's Erin Bates job -and like I said, she has been doing it for years. These three commentators are at one of the highest levels of tv broadcasting, there's no reason why they couldn't spend a little time brushing up on their skills. If they did, I'm sure you would see a difference. And if there wasn't an apparent problem then you probably wouldn't see so many people bitching about it. And let's not forget who the end consumer is in all of this... it's the passionate motocross fans who make these broadcasts worth while, and dictate whether or not there is a demand for for watching it.
