On another topic, that bike and gear combo looked awesome. I wish Eli was allowed to wear some different color combos. KROC did well negotiating his HRC contract, he got himself and Seely back control over their own helmets and they can wear crazy color combos. Eli F'd up, lol.

I am guessing that someone said arm pump was the reason behind his results at SD? or worse...

Probably the 49 posts before that.

Instagram comments make the forum here look like a pre-school. I clip comments all the time, and send trolls packing.

Haha, pure truth there! He and Kroc need to make it a point to never respond on Insta.

my honest thought is he needs to ride with faster/as fast as guys during the week. seems to work for Seeley, Roczen, Dungey, Musquin, and Anderson.

arm pump is a bitch and i have no doubt that he's getting it... but so is watching someone sprint away from you

Eli is a confidence rider. Reminds me of Kdub in that aspect.

..I agree. Got the skills, got the fitness. Needs the last piece, which is usually the toughest to find.

MENSA makes any forum look like a practical genius convention. I'm surprised tying their shoes in the morning isn't too practical of a skill for them.

I don't use IG, but you're saying it's like youtube comments? Didn't take me very long to turn my brain off to youtube comments, it's almost like they're invisible to me now. Kinda surprised ET doesn't do the same.

yup, youtube comments crack me up.

Unfortunately though its the way of the world these days, people now have tools to state comments (esp. in social media) that are so outrageous its criminal, there are a lot of kooky people out there.

Haha i thought so to. The only thing the dude said was "did you get armpump in this pic?"

And eli answering like that just shows how bad he is taking this thing. He will probably think about NOT getting armoump so much that he will have it after 3laps at A2.

Totally agree with that... Unfortunately reading Instagram comments are a fast and easy way to kill confidence and Eli can't resist the bait....

Apparently not enough people have seen (or comprehend) Lincoln's quote...

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Haha that's funny because I just saw that quote last week for the first time, and I made a note to remember it for future reference.

Steve, this is slightly off-topic, but do you know if any of these riders are required in their contracts to have social media platforms or do they have them voluntarily?

I don't think it's a requirement.

Look at the age of the most of the guys who participate. It's the future. Hopefully they learn to handle anti-social asshats as part of their media training. Or just develop really thick skin.

I said this exact same thing in another thread. He rides alone all off season and you can see the effects.
