Sorry for the repost, but dont know the exact place this should be.

BlackDiamond has talked with CMT about doing a Carbon Fiber fuel tank for our beloved RM 2-strokes. They have agreed to do it if we produce a minimum order of 10 tanks. I am assuming this is to be pre-paid. BlackDiamond has said the price is $775 shipped to us. Please respond to this thread to see if we can get the 10 tank minimum satisfied.

I am in for one.

This evening I will try to figure out where we are with people, and will also post on the RM250 Owners group on FaceBook as well as Thumpertalk.

Sorry guys, I have not had a chance to put it out onto the FB groups. I will "try" to get to that in the next night or two.

Also, I encourage everyone they know with an RM to spread the word.

Well it seems like CMT may not be in the shape to help us out with this at the moment. However, I did get some good news. I was contacted by another company that saw this post and they are interested in producing the tanks for us. They are interested in modeling it after the X-Fun tank, so it would accept the RMZ shrouds. They plan on making slight mods to the shape, if it makes sense for the best looks. They will also design it for a flush cap like CMT does.
Pricing will be the same, $775 each for a quantity of 10.

This company is just getting in to moto, and they have a fondness for the RM. So they plan on making other carbon parts for the RM as well. It would be nice to have a one stop shop for RM carbon parts. They are talking about making glide plates, front rotor guard, frame guards, radiator braces, ignition covers and clutch covers.

So, lets see how many people we can get. I may start a new thread, since this thread is titled CMT...
