Get ahold of Russell at Buffalo Creek. I think he is up to put one on. I announced at your village creek one and my son raced it. It was an awesome event and so much fun. Can't get over how cool all the riders are and with the track layout, the racing was good too. Just wish there were more east of Dallas.

What exactly would define a scramblecross course?. No man made jumps and what else? How long of a lap? How wide of a track? 5th gear pinned or 3rd gear? Gate drop or dead engine? How many acres of property would it take?

I love this idea as i wish there was a track around i could practice/race on without the big jumps. Most enduro/harescamble guys feel the same way.

There are man made jumps, just not huge hits.

The lap? shit I don't know we usually did 4 or 5 laps and that was enough for me! haha

The Askey track is pretty wide in some parts but I always thought some parts were a bit too tight. On my 125 its 2nd it most corners, on the bigger straights I'll catch 4th.

It was live engine as Askey for a while with a flag start and they just put in a gate for last fall. I've seen them use rubber band start gates as well.

Its a blast and I'm really looking forward to it again this year.

I would really like to see this series grow both in riders and tracks. Cool event and laid back racing.

I've done these kinda races before, use to be a track in Alabama called runninbrand. And now there's a guy in Tennesse. Scramble cross just sounds like vintage racing for the modern bikes to me. So what's the issue? Tons of fun and safe err. I did break my arm at runninbrand lol

The Runninbrand races that Garmon used to have were awesome! Also had huge turnouts especially for something that wasn't even advertised.
