When people run onto the NFL field, the networks don't show him/her because they think national recognition would inspire more people to do the same. Those same networks will plaster this shooter's name and face on the web and television for the next week for the whole nation to see. Makes sense right?

Agreed. We need a uniform policy to never give these f*cks the notoriety that they seek.

NEVER say their name. The "suspect" should be all that is ever said, and nothing more.

Sounds like other shooters in the parking garages and possibly another in one of the terminals.

CNN is reporting he came in on a Air Canada Flight, his weapon was checked in/declared with the Airline.
He loaded it in the bathroom before the shooting...

I'm thinking this wasn't terrorist related, guy is a vet and had a gun in his luggage.
My guess, he got in a fight on the plane. Instead of kicking whoever's ass in the parking lot, he went on a shooting spree.

Looks like he ran outta ammo, maybe that's why he didn't fight the police.

That's what it sounds like...an impulse nut with a temper who went off his rocker.
He served in National Guard the media is reporting,he just had signed up in August 2016.
Then he was honorably discharged about 4 months ago (so the media says).
Wonder why he was discharged(mental health issues)?

Supposedly he recently went to a FBI office and told them he has been hearing voices and they were telling him to join ISIS. They took him to a mental health institution where he committed himself for treatment.

Just curious what is your definition of "terrorist" or "terrorism?"

Generally it involves acts of violence or intimidation for political or ideological gain.

What's your definition?

And it doesn't matter what he said in there. They can't keep him committed once he wises up and decides to say that he isnt homicidal anymore. We need to bring back court-ordered labotomies.

Well, there are huge differences between voluntarily committing yourself and involuntarily. As it sounds, he voluntarily committed himself after talking with agents. Essentially what that means is they are free and clear of any repercussions.

Involuntary commitment is different. If you're involuntarily committed you have to stay in for 72 hours, minimum, which to me doesn't seem long enough. This also stays on your "record" and you'll never be around to own or purchase a gun again. People would be surprised how often this happens. People would also be surprised how often someone with an Involuntary commitment on their record tries to buy a gun and gets felony charges for doing it.

So in layman's terms, voluntary commitment=gun. Involuntary commitment=no gun.

Whoever heard of the CIA doing any mind control stuff? (except for their decades of research and experimentation on mind control). After WWII we were so interested in the Nazis use of psy ops that we hired their scientists, similar to what we did with their rocket engineers. But the government apparently gave all that up in the 70s. Wink Not saying that was the case here, but it is not completely impossible. The CIA has done all kinds of crazy stuff over the years.

The FBI separates the legal definition into 2 categories; International and Domestic terrorism.

Domestic Terrorism means activities with the following three characteristics:
◾Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;
◾Appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping; and
◾Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.

So we are talking about chewing your pop tart into the state of Florida in elementary school?
