Tip 2: Don't just dump the clutch, thinking it'll spin. It won't, but it will dump your driveshaft out, after it bites like it's dry asphalt.
Just another useful tidbit, from yer ol' pal scooter, 35 years of this fuckin shit. I had to use 3 wheel lock to get out of the Wal Mart in Erie Wed. night, and I had 46K on. One thing to be happy about, with this Pete I ordered for the oil patch.

escapades...
taking the wife on a snowboarding trip. it probably isnt going to snow while we are up on the mountain. but i rather be prepared then not, because it seems to me that places dont carry chains for my truck 285/75r16 and if they do they will try and rape me with the mark up.
thos of you who know a thing or two about snow driving. should i get chains with the cams or tighteners(bungee cords)?
been a couple weeks since we got new snow, but went up Saturday and did this... fuckin' fun bro
Then find a good yellow pine limb about 2 inches thick 3 feet long to use as a rudder.
Hop on and slide over the edge. 70 mph on a 200 lb car hood gets the pucker effect up there.
Int 80 was closed for a while. Warms storms mean epic dumps.
No weak 4 stroke snowbikes for this. Bring out the big 2 stroke horses.
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 8 AM PST Thursday.
Severe Avalanche Warnings in Effect until further notice.
Almost 5 feet of new snow has been recorded at lower elevation reporting stations below 6,000 feet as of 6 AM this morning.
SnoTel data is recording significantly more at various locations in the Sierra central and Northern Sierras.
Timing: Heavy snow will continue until early Thursday morning.
Additional snow accumulations: 24-36 inches at lower elevations below 6,000 feet with 3-4 feet additional above 7000 feet. 4-6 Feet additional snow over 9,000 feet possible
10 plus feet of new snow is highly likely as the moisture track is predicted to stay in line.
Winds: Wind gusts up to 65 mph in the lower elevations and gusts of 80 to 100 mph across Sierra Ridgetops below 8,000 feet.
Gusts over 150 MPH have been recorded at the highest ridges.
Backcountry slopes will be heavily wind loaded with potential severe avalanche conditions.
Impacts: dangerous conditions for travel and outdoor activities. Whiteout conditions are occurring over mountain passes and areas exposed to gusty winds.
Pit Row
The upper air must be cold because it was 52 and snow on the way. Turned to snow about 2500 feet. We are 6000 feet
I did hear that Oregonians suck in the snow, though.
I had snow coming over the hood this AM on the 3500.
Its still 43 degrees and dumping. Its not much colder up high, so this snow will surely help with our drought.
