Hello, i opened up my clutch side cover.I noticed my clutch basket has very slight movenent (very slight wobble). Though the clutch hub is tight on the shaft. Clutch plates look good. Is this ok for the basket to have slight play? I looked at parts diagrams and see thrust washer and bearing. I know the clutch basket should not be tight against the clutch hub because the clutch would not work than. Any ideas?

I didn't like my clutch basket bearing so I ordered a new bearing and thrust washers! My basket looks good.... Love the bike and hope to ride it again soon!!

Nice bike....I don"t think I have ever seen an older bike without some slight play in the basket/ gear. Inspect the tangs for heavy wear from the plates & when the basket is off inspect the rivets that hold the gear to the basket, grab the gear & hold basket in your hand, if there is a lot of play, basket should be replaced. I"ve never met a Suzuki rm that didn't want new clutch parts!

My basket looks good! When I have the basket in my hand , the bearing does feel loose. The tangs look decent , not all notched out. Hope the new bearing fits tighter.

You RM looks perfect. For some reason, maybe soft springs or old sagging fenders alot of old Suzukis look like they sit low or something. Youre 77 looks just like they are supposed to with just the right amount of paint worn from the tank. In 77/78 90% of the 125s behind the gate at Englishtown were RMs
