Thanks, the shock is worn pretty good only bad thing but I got the full set for $2,500 so I can't complain. The listing didn't have the best pictures and it belonged to Darian Sanayei set up for sx unfortunately hopefully it will be decent at least he's light.

I wonder what's up with the notch cut in your shock body. Mine is like that as well. I don't think I've seen another one like it.

Yeah it's weird I also see it on yours. It doesn't even come close to touching anything on our bikes and I looked at my friends 15 250 today and see nothing that would cause it. From the paperwork that came with it mine was on a 13 250 before maybe that has something.

I ended up buying my graphics from MotoPro and couldn't be happier. Awesome company to deal with and their stuff fits great. The seat cover is the best fitting cover I've ever installed.

They also matched Acerbis Flo Green really well.

Curious if anyone has set one of these up for off-road. I see IMS sells a big tank for these things but I've never seen them outside of an MX track.

Which rear chain guide is everyone using on the 16/17 450? I've always had stock, but this one is shot after 10 hours.

So TM Designworks version 2 or Acerbis 2.0? Just asking because there is a $30 price difference.

Thanks. Do you know the difference between the "Factory Edition 2" guide and the GP guide? The only slide and guide kit on RM is the GP kit.

Thanks, I ended up purchasing the 2.0 as well. It has some good reviews and it looks great! and I like the replaceable bottom that doesn't have the horizontal bolt design. Plus the replacements are $15 bucks should it wear out.

Dam mjr119, had more info for ya. The tm products , the GP unit is for SX,MX, and the factory edition 2, lil heavier ,beefier for MX and off road. Glad you got what you needed.

No worries, thanks for the response! I appreciate it.

I ended up choosing the Acerbis because of price, the replaceable bottom design, and looks. We will see how it holds up. I'll def report back. As the stock one lasted less than 10 hours of ride time.

I skimmed through most of the pages and didn't really see a ride report or review with the PC Ti6, standard or Pro. I understand the Pro is quieter than the standard, but does it improve throttle response, low mid or over rev?

Thanks Guys

The ti6 non pro is louder , lil more bark off bottom. The ti6 pro will pass sound test, non pro won't. . Most local tracks don't sound test out here on the east.

I have the ti6 pro because my parts guy ordered me the wrong one. It stretched the gears out for sure and I like that since I'm always in 3rd gear getting into 4th on long straightaway's. The one downside is the baffle seems to create a hot spot on the can on top since it keeps melting my pro circuit sticker off, I'm going to re pack it soon and see if it burned through.

Anyone using '17 mapping? Don't know anyone with a Kawi tuner & like to find a shop who could do it if anyone could recommend or have had it done.

TLR does mapping. Not sure on the price, as I had other stuff done at the same time.

Does anyone know how to differentiate between a 250F coupler and a 450F coupler? I have some extras laying around and not sure what they go to. I've had a lot of Kawi's.

I have a Kawi tuner and it doesn't tell you the actual fuel and ignition values of the base map that is in the ECU. All it does is add or subtract a % of fuel from that base map (or degrees if we are talking about timing). You can't actually see the base map so it's not possible to just grab a 17 base map from an ECU and drop it in to a 16. If you look at the base map on the tuner, everything is just zeros. The actual values live behind those and are not accessible. If someone had the right equipment, they could probably reverse engineer the changes between 16 and 17 and develop a map that reflects the changes between the two but to my knowledge, no one does this. They just put the new model on the dyno and optimize it.

I had Team Green re-map mine at an amateur national. They have a few different options depending on your needs

The physical plug does not store the map at all, and im sure the plugs are the same between 250/450.

The ecu sends a reference signal through the circuit to the "mapping coupler plug". Depending on the resistance of the plug, the ECU receives a voltage back. From this return voltage it knows what map to run. I am not sure of this, but I would be willing to bet there are only 3 voltages it recognizes. IE: you couldnt measure resistance of the current 3 plugs, and then alter the resistance of the extra plugs you have to create the ability to store additonal maps that could be run via these new resistance values. Basically these resistors just serve as a look up to which map the ecu should run thats stored internally.

You could probably just wire up a Map switch to the bars, with each resistor on its own leg. I dont believe the bike would recognize a change on the fly, but it would allow you the ability to pull over, shut bike off, and flip switch to different position and restart bike without having to go to the pits and change the plug.

My 17 needed remapped. It was detonating in colder weather. I sent it to Tokyo mods and had them do it. It's much better now, also it doesn't pop on deceleration anymore.
