Hello again,
I wonder how thick should laminate on motocross decals be?
Would 250 microns be enough?

Typically they are laminated 16 to 20 mil thick. That would be 400-500 microns. I believe this includes the printed vinyl though.

What's the opinions on 250 microns? I want to get my decals printed and they said 250 microns thick laminate is thickest that they have. Would it be enough to have some quality?

Having absolutely no knowledge about the topic I'm going to go with what Camp said, 257 microns is what you want to shoot for.

I'm going to say 250 likely will not hold up but you'll save a ton of weight by going with 250 microns. 257 is probably too heavy anyways.

800 could keep the pace for awhile anyway.

800 will look the best at first but soon fade.

If you need to make it through an entire season with one set then 259 isn't your best option.

If your races are 5 or less laps then 800 is your best bet, but the performance will taper off after that.

250 microns is about 10 mil, so that should work. Most places use between an 8 and a 12 mil final overlam.

Most places finished product is between 16-21 mil, 19mil being most common. 250 micron would be like the attack graphics sold at rmatvmc, do the job, but thin and dont last like others

4 mil vinyl + 12 mil laminate: 16 mil total. This is the norm

Or 8 mil vinyl + 12 mil laminate: 20 mil total. This is more common for off road.
