Major plastic uphaul

Does anybody know if any newer year plastics fit on a 2001 yz125. I'm trying to see if a 2007-2013 airbox would fit on my bike so I can get the newer style plastics on my bike

are you looking for something that just bolts up? If so I dont think its going to be that easy.

If your willing to do a little modification then anything is possible.

I had 07 KX plastics on a 95 KX250 WITHOUT it looking like crap and having massive gaps. It just takes a little bit of creative work.

You need to buy a 2002 and newer subframe, gas tank and seat. One subframe mount needs to be moved about an inch on the frame, easy because it's steel. You also need to make new mounts or tabs to extend the gas tank mounts down about an inch as well as where the shroud bolts to the radiators. Once you do this 2015 plastic will bolt up

I'd like to do some modification work I'm trying to get my 01 yz125 to look like a 2010 or up. I'm trying to find what gas tank I could use, subframes, airboxes, and anything else possible to use

Looks like I'm gonna put my tools to good use for this winter project. does anybody have any projects they could show me that they modified subframes, gas tanks, and air boxes?

Go do a search on thumpertalk. There was a member who modified their 99-01 YZ frame to accept the 02+ subframe and tank with pics. As Chris225 already mentioned, its not a bolt up project, requires welding. Once you have done that, you can choose between the 02-14 plastics or 15-16 plastics (with its airbox).
