I know it's been speculated for a while and it seems like a no brainer, but based on this interview vs his one from 2 weeks ago with RacerX, I am assuming Bisceglia will be the main 250 rider for the new JGR Suzuki 250 program? Good for him, he did fantastic this summer for Suzuki. Glad to see they were able to get things in to place to keep him on Yellow. Is Phil still in for the second JGR 250?

@TWMX: You’re back in Southern California after five weeks back home in Texas, and it looks like you’re on a new bike. What’s going on?

"Yeah, I got back about two weeks ago. After the last round in Indiana, I headed back home, and it was nice because I got to see my friends and family. It was a nice way for me to recharge my batteries so to speak. Just like every year, 2016 was a long season, so it was nice to get away for a while, but now I’m just finalizing all of my deals for 2017. We’re really close, as we have a deal on the table, so once we’re finished revising a few things within the contract it’ll be ready for my signature. I’m really excited for everything that’s come about lately, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the press release regarding myself and the team. I haven’t ridden much since I returned to California, so my main objective right now is to get comfortable on the bike before we begin testing."

So will you be riding a 250 again next year? "Yeah, I’ll be back on a 250 for 2017."

I know the insiders on here have already mentioned that Matt is going to the JGR 250 team, but what if (and a big what if) he goes to the new 250 team that RCH is supposedly putting together. I know people have said they are having trouble signing a new main sponsor, but it would explain why Matt is in California and not North Carolina testing.

Just my opionion...and more than likely I am wrong.

It would be great if both rch and jgr did 2 250. Rch could do west and jgr east. But at this point I just want to see it released that rch will have any team then I can want to see more from there.

Seriously, the 250 guys are doing just fine. RCH needs to get Tickle, Bogle, Wilson, and/or Weimer signed and then go from there.

Negatory, it's for JGR. The reason he's out West, is that the 250 effort is being housed in Yoshimura's shop out here in Chino, Ca... While JGR will take care of their 450s in-house. J-Bone spoke about the arrangement on Pulp last week. To put it bluntly, the Suzuki 250F effort is really an in-house Suzuki/Yoshimura project that will be placed out of JGR's truck at the races. Due to the job Matt did as fill-in and coming off the rough road known as MAD, Suzuki US crew really wanted to support him for 17.

I have to agree with Tyler with that.

Two things:

1. It's cool that the Suzuki guys are behind him after how well Matt did for them last summer; and

2. It is going to be strange for while seeing JGR on yellow.

Glad to hear he landed somewhere.

Not to be a pessimist...but hopefully they find some more hp. I think Matt was way behind in the power department last year.

Sucks about what happened to MAD racing, Luke Clout basically a fill in rider here in Aus now. Real shame.

It was sad watching him to try to pull a start in sx. Especially after being so far up front on a regular basis off the start when he was on the Geico bike.

I had done a ton of R&D on the RMZ 250 and had a couple of engines in the 45 hp range .the hp is still lost in the cylinder head I did find that if you install a 450 air boot the TB would come in @ a much better angle of coures the head would require maching and welding. This could ad up to a couple extra hp and actually make it more competitve I guess its time to give Bundy a call @ JGR and @ least tell them what i found.

I don't think jgr will do the 250 engines.

Suzuki/Yosh began a newer 250 motor program in house a while ago, right before the MAD team was announced. A couple people have told me they will handle the 250 program exclusively in house at Yosh.

Actually Yosh's 250 program started in '06 with the WBR Suzuki race team. They've been at this for a long time.
