So the only "top" AMA guys are Eli and Philthy in 450s. That kind of sucks. I was hoping a few more would show up.

I'm excited to see how Jmart looks on the Honda. I'm glad to see Forkner, Oldenburg and Hill there. I'll call it now, Forkner, Herlings, Jmart, Oldenburg and Hill all in the top 5.

Herlings should go 1-1 again, Martin won't have anything for him, especially on the new bike and off his injury.
I think you are way wrong, Jeremy is no longer sick and has went 1-1 two of the last 3 years at GH. I personally think Jeffrey won't have anything for Jeremy or Forkner here..... call me crazy but I think they both will be 5+ seconds in front of him.

Jeremy went 1-1 at Glen Helen in 2014, and that was the only time. This year he went 4-1.

You are right, for some reason I thought he dominated in 14-15 at GH, 15 he didn't do that well. My bad!

I think JMart will be OK, but, in my opinion, Jamma is right; two days of racing could be a bit much for Forkner. I wouldn't be surprised to see him lay waste to the field on Saturday, but Sunday could be a tough one for him. Don't get me wrong, I say he still goes top 5, but I think he'll struggle a bit with the 2 day format.

28 entries for mx2? Has to be a bunch of local kids that will try to qualify.
There's no reason for a local kid to spend the €1,000+ entry fee for no chance of making it back in purse or contingency money.
Fee is about 1600 usd

I think the effects of a two day schedule will take it's toll eventually though and Herlings will take the overall. That's only a hunch by the way, not a bold claim!
How does the scheduling work? Will they be racing both days?

Normally there is free practice, time practice and qualifying races on Saturday and warm up and race heats on Sunday

Would be super cool if something crazy like Josh Grant rolling up in a van happened. Or that kinda thing.

the #199 guy at Charlotte in the 250's bless his heart. Hes a US guy. He was 20 full seconds per lap slower than webb and I think 3 full laps down but when he crossed the finish line jump, he threw an fist pump like he had taken home the overall. Love it.

Uh no, don't think so. Was just thinking how good he goes there, and wouldn't it be something if he could show up like that & put in one of his eye-opening rides.

I don't even know his status - but if he shows, me calling that would be the epitome of blind squirrels finding nuts....

Like mentioned above the two day schedule will be a factor. Last weekend at Charlotte was more an AMA national schedule what in my eyes influenced the outcome a bit. A few more US riders in both classes would be awesome but there might be some last minute entries so let's wait and see and keep our fingers crossed. There's NO excuses at GH , all riders have been in the US all week. That being said I do think Tomac is the man to beat next weekend. Just hoping Gajser,Febvre and Tony can put in some good rides along with my boys JVH,Clement and Strijbos. And off course really rooting for Brent #172 in MX2 , hope he can ride some solid top 10s

Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't sure whether or not I would show up for both days.

The quali race on saturday is worth a visit. When there are races in Europe we have several other classes that can be watched also like EMX 250 , EMX 300 , EMX125 , WMX and the Honda 150 class. So we get a VERY busy schedule all weekend. Would be cool if they would run some other classes at GH besides MXGP and MX2.... don't know the actual schedule for GH but when it stays dry Wink we should see some great racing on saturday and sunday Laughing Laughing

I think Jeffrey has a good chance of going 1-1. This will be his last ever race on a 250, and the track should be pretty close to what he likes. Cool to see for sure... And cmon guys, give a break for the MXGP guys (or the lack of them). Last race of the season, points and standings are pretty much clear at this point, so the smaller teams or privateers really don't want to spend 20k$ x2 to travel to USA to ride these last two rounds. I admit that it's a bit silly to put two U.S. rounds for the final events of the calendar and expect a good rider turnout...

I'm gonna go with
1. JMart
2. Herlings
3. Forkner
4. Hill
5. Oldenburg

1. Tomac (obviously) I don't think it will even be close here.
2. Gajser- he wants to prove he can run with the AMA's best on home soil.
3. Desalle
4. Nagl
5. Wilson
