Since most of us can thank our local motorcycle dealer for "supplying our obsessions" before there was online and mail order, I thought I would share a short video we just produced for Honda about one of their oldest dealers in the USA.

Meet Helen Musselman of Musselman Honda on Tucson, AZ. At 99 years-young she still comes into the store everyday to work. Reinforces why you love moto, should love your local dealer AND... will fall in love with this wonderful lady.

Thanks Todd...I love stuff like that.

I'm 59 so I grew up in the sixties so those shops that have been around that long bring back memories. In San Pedro, Ca. there is a shop called Century Cycle. It has been in continuous operations since the mid 50s by one family. I went down there a month or so ago and was taken back in time. The building is very cool from the outside and when I walked in it all came back as I was a 10 year old again. It really hasn't changed that much with old Vincents, Indians, triumphs etc. on the floor and all the walls are covered in old photos. The manager apologized for it being a little cluttered. I told him I loved it. They deal in primarily old street bikes.

Todd, Here is Century's web site. Been there since 1953 in the same building. The icon pin striper Von Dutch came up with their logo. Pretty cool. The opening night shot of the shop is assume.

Excellent video and story. She reminds me of my Grandmother who worked here until she was 90 and could no longer work.

They're claiming oldest motorcycle shop in America? I can think of more than one without looking anything up that can beat them by decades.

Not talking about Musslemans, cool shop. I actually want to go check it out next time I'm near Tucson. I'm talking about Century Motorcycles, I love old shops but I know for a fact that I've been to shops older than 1953. Geez Todd, lol.

Kegels(same family as the bike shop) in Rockford dates back to the 20s, Farrow in Ohio is from the teens as is Dudley Perkins in SF. I grew up in a Harley shop that dates back to the 30s. It's been a repair only shop since the 80s, and had a name change but it's still been operated non stop, the last 30 years by one of the mechanics who used to have me wash parts for him when I was 7 or 8. No CPS in the late 60s. I'm big on the history of things so when I see a claim that is so far removed from reality I question it. Century Motorcycles looks like a cool shop but I don't get where they're claiming oldest shop in America.

The owner of the oldest Yamaha dealer in the us is here in Tulsa????
He and his wife come to work 5 days a week and they are mid 80's
And how bout this!!!
He invented K&N filters racing flat track with a red rag and chicken wire
And oil

His youngest son won Daytona at 18yrs old in 1982
Cover on cycle news hangs on the wall
And that sons son Tyler was in 7th out of 69 bikes in 2007 at Daytona and prob would of got 3rd but crashed at half way point

The folks from Mussleman Honda also run the MX track and Kart/Supermoto track in Tucson. I bought my CRF450 from them and see Mark (the guy in the video) on a regular basis at the track. Notice his raccoon eyes suntan in the video. That is well earned from many hours under the Arizona sun out at the MX track when he's not in the shop.

Sorry Randy, LOL! I thought you were being grumpy and turns out it was me. Hah!

Yeah, I know you know Rob (Sands?) at Kegel's as he was always reliable to get an order from when we're on the phone hucking BMX parts. One of the coolest cats!

We used picks from AD Farrow in Ohio in our Penton film too! nice people!
