I have a 70 as well. Did the 88 kit make a noticeable difference? Been thinking about trading up to a 110 for a little more power.

The best bang for the buck on a CRF70 is a 108cc kit with a 20mm carb , keep the stock head and rum a cam in it
So new crank , jug , piston , carb kit
110 killer

Pitbike are a ton of fun. They are also a lot of fun to tinker with and mod. But sinking huge amounts of money in them takes the fun out of it quickly. Most of these stock bikes will run forever with little maintenance but when you start modifying the engines, you can easily wind up with a miniature 250f! That also takes the fun out of it.

Raced a fair race in Minnesota last Friday night and 29 bikes in the pitbike class. Looks like fun.

You guys should look on alibaba.com if you're suave enough you can buy ALL of the mod parts like frames engine kits for the Lifan engine and basically everything one would ever need to build a sick pit bike. I get so lost into that place you're basically buying direct from the asian manufacturers if you can Work it out ... Shit they even sell badass sand rails

If I had to do it again I would just buy a 110. The 70 is a dog no matter what. It's better than what it was but I still think the bone stock Z50 I had would smoke it.

I would rather save my money to race MX on a bike built for adults plus I have a hard enough time riding a bike my size much less a kids bike.

You have clearly never got on a track with 8-10 of your bros.

I run an xr 100 and there is a good mix of 140's, 150's 110's and a few xr's in my group. A few guys have spent big dollars on their 140's and still cannot beat me on my xr.....you cannot buy corner speed.

We keep our pit bike track most turns and small jumps...keeps the broken parts list down and keeps everyone on a level playing field.

Guilty as charged but to be clear I'm down with bar bashing with my bros on pit bikes just not dumping $$$ into them. But it's a free world so more power to the folks that can afford it.

Sounds you and your bros have a cool set up. Right on.

I had a Rupp Scrambler. It was the sparkly green one. My brother had the Rupp Black Widow. It was the ultimate Rupp.

85 small wheels are better pit bikes. Same size, more power, good suspension don't have to spend 2 grand on motor work to make them go. Me and a friend had YZ85s instead of normal pit bikes and they were so much fun. All you really need to do is put some tall bars on it and heavier springs in the fork and shock and ready to go

Yup, if i wanted a play bike it would be an 85.
Agreed I'm 6 foot three so it bikes are very user-friendly for me however and 85 is but I digress because the ultimate one for me would be a CRF 150 R with small or big wheels
