What i don't like is that it's a class that isn't alligned at all with other manufacturers. I mean, we all have an opinion on 4-strokes, but at least with the 250 and 450 all manufacturers joined and we have 1 class with the same bikes. If you compare that to the youth structure one can only conclude that the youth structure is just awfull. You've got some oem's making everything from 50cc to 125cc 2 stroke, you have some doing a bit, you have one throwing in a 150cc 4-strokes. A shame, because imo an alligned youth structure would mean all the talent in the same class and more $ for support for these kids (just imagine Honda spending the 150 $ on 85cc)).
Regardless of the overwhelming lack of concern from the industry as a whole here in the states, it is good to see the Euro's putting their best foot forward to help re-grow the sport. Having the 125 and 300 class in the GP spotlight seems to be a pretty good deal judging from the teams and mfgs asking that it not go away.
He don't care about 2strokes
I find it coincidental this class and Teuthcensthal were both not going to be renewed and in the same week there back. Longdongo only looks after his wallet.

I offered my take, on your post, about a class, as it was written, and read.
Don't be a drongo, and glorify the bastard with a nickname like 'longdongo'...........
However, paddock feeling was that by canning the EMX300, and not EMX150 , he had shot the wrong horse , and as a result ,Yamaha, KTM, and Husky were less than thrilled.
As I understand it , EMX125 & EMX 250 will run less rounds next year instead, which will reduce costs for the riders and teams , and the resulting races will be spread out over more rounds.. Assen GP has EMX150, Women, and Vets, which IMO could all go, but I would rather watch Women races at GP's than the 150's.
The number of girls racing and racing well has gone up massively , to the point where I don't even think about it any more, as being a big deal. They should get rounds at GP's too.
I wasn't in the meeting , but have spoken to people who were, and I will also try and find out what the story is with Teuschenthal, as my understanding was it didn't add up money wise any more , and that was it. Maybe an outside sponsor has stepped in.
I'd bet my last ball that Luongo dropped his fee.
EMX250 and EMX125 I agree with. Hard to know what to do with the 150 class I think it's great Honda putting up the funding/machinery for the young kids but would rather see the 150's in with the EMX85 class.
The EMX300 class has provided some good entertainment this year, and as already mentioned Samuel Bernadini who won the class last year, has gone on to have a good year in mx2. Together with the EMX250 class they can provide teams and riders a stepping stone to the bigger leagues while remaining within a tighter budget. I'm sure its still not cheap mind, but then were not talking about a local race series.
I'm sure that Yental Martens Husky 300 2st he won on this weekend is as close to a full factory 2st as you can get, but he's been beaten this year by Brad Anderson and Lewis Gregory on the GL12 Yamaha privateer team so it is possible for the smaller teams to compete. This was never a cheap sport at the higher levels of completion, if it was too expensive there would be less guys on the line.
