Look around non white Pres., supreme court justices, congressman, even have their own segregated black caucus, attorney general, mayors, police cheifs, goveners, minorities make up a huge percentage of the powerful people that write and enforce the laws in this country at every level. To bring up apartheid as if it is relative makes me question your understanding of it.

You say whites have immensely greater privalege. I hear this all the time. Many people regardless of race have what people might call privalege. I would probably call it advantage or circumstance. Years ago I worked for a wealthy Mexican man that started with nothing and built a large contracting corp. His childrens circumstances were very advantagous compared to mine. White people are not the only ones that do well in this country right. That's why people make huge sacrifices to come here. Being white guarantees you nothing.

Can you point to something specific that shows the immense privalege that is afforded to whites that is not available to everyone else? Not a generalized opinion but something specific like a law, or a government policy, or program. Because I can show you specific examples of government programs and policies that give advantage to non whites and blatantly exclude whites in a way that can only be called discrimination by anyone that is being honest. I'm not losing sleep over it but please stop with the privalege remarks. If people really want to come together as they say, they should know comments like that don't help.
I know and work with and for many successful minorities and women and you will never hear this kind of rhetoric from them.

My whole point is that my experience including 38 years in the Construction industry working with minorties of all races ( I don't even like the label of minority) and hiring many as employees, is that other than a small % of exceptions we all get along without issue in our daily lives and race has nothing to do with anything.

If other peoples experience is that of confrontation, or resentment, or whatever because of race then maybe that's something they need to look to themselves about.

In the presidental election eight years ago the new black panthers committed and were convicted of some voter intimidation crimes. They failed to show up to defend themselves and were found guilty in Federal Court. Then before sentencing the Eric Holder led DOJ dropped the charges on defendants already convicted.
I wonder how often the Feds drop charges on someone already found guilty?
