Bet Honda wishes they would have cut bait when they had the chance.

Same here, when they followed him around there was no urgency at all.

Seems like he has lost speed since he and his mom had issues.

I like Davi, he's one of my kids favorite riders. I kind of felt bad that they showed those few laps on Speed. Maybe he cased a jump or something a was shaking the cobwebs out. I'm sure he will be up there soon this season.

RV blew the cobwebs off both times he went around him.

i think the talent pool in the 450 is deep now also. all the guys who were in the lites and good have gone up now. the last 2 years have seen short , millsaps, townley, langston, hill, alessi, villopoto, grant and a bunch of ohters but no one really noticed because everyone was always watching ricky/bubba/ and reed. once dungey and canard go up the lites will kind of be quiet for awhile

there is no reason that he should be riding that way. i was watching the race and i cant beleive these guys are getting tire. ive raced motocross for 10 years i know its hard and tiring but when your making that kinda money with all that support from the team getting tired isnt an excuse. to me it looked like only reed and stewart were 100% for the entire race.

Charles Summey is looking a hell of a lot better than Cody Cooper. Honda needs to get rid of Mudflaps and get someone like Summey in there that actually trains. Summey impressed the shit out of me today.

i dont think the lites will ever be quite. that class is always good to watch and there is always an unknown rider that comes in and does good. people said the same thing after stewart moved out of the class

With his questionable fitness I thought he should go SX only. Now I think he should retire.

I have a different theory and I'll apologize right now since it doesn't have any whisper of conspiracy, family issues or in any way malign Davi's fitness..

Millsaps is one of the riders that they refer to as the "Cobra Generation", been riding, racing and training since he was about 4 years old.
Maybe he is just burnt out.

Is it possible that he just doesn't have the drive at every race anymore because he has done it basically since he could walk?

He's probably just worn out from getting his joint worked on too much.

It's true when the cameras were on Davi tonight, he just looked so slow, like he had an anchor. We always have rooted for him, I hope he turns it around. Outside of Short, I can't see Team Honda/Red Bull not creating a new team if things don't take a big upswing. Factory Millsaps got a good run for his money from JOSH Summney on his brand new team/ride. (no disrespect to Summney by any means.) Maybe he is still ill. He def has promising options if he decides to hang it up. Beautiful girl, career, and some great 125/250f memories. I hope it's just a slow start, always liked him as a rider.

Yeah I'll chalk one up for burn-out as well. It sure happens to many. It's no secret that any physical activity is driven by mental strength and inner drive. I really think that Davi could be a podium contender....thats not new news to anyone I'm sure.

But it's just like Hansen. Anyone can tell him all day long that he has loads of talent (I even gave him the speech a couple weeks ago), but if Josh, or Davi don't want it, they won't get it.

This is where I'm such a huge fan of Mike Alessi. That kid wants it - the effort and detail he puts into his program is really impressive to me (at least what I see from the fence). I mean, did anyone catch the personal log that Alessi keeps for every race? Talk about thorough.

But that doesn't make Mike a better person or better racer. Davi may just be burnt out through a series of events and sometimes that is hard to overcome.

It's only two races in the series. Lets give him several more and see if he turns it around.

Ya cant really have a go at cody cooper, i mean he proved out doors that he can ride, but this is his first american supercross year, plus his on a new team. The only supercross experience i think he has had it australian supercross and NZ supercross before chads series arrived which was like areacross only tighter. Just needs a bit of time.
