He's like that guy in your group of friends who always dishes out insults and jokes to the others, but then falls out with everyone when people do it to him.

No, the point is you don't want to understand that Romain's attitude lately is simply the result of frustration caused by a sum of incidents that happened in a row with people he doesn't get along with, nothing more. Romain hasn't changed a bit. He just doesn't want to lose the championship due to outside track issues.

Ok he did it to Gasjer too and so what, they discussed it after the race and moved on. Guillod did the same to him, Roamin was pissed the same way Tim was in Germany, they discussed it and moved on too. Maybe, that discussion made him think about it and explains his reaction. His gesture was stupid, but it doesn't make of Febvre an "entitled prick" as you said with class a little above (the fact you try so hard to convince people he is is beyond me). Has Cairoli become one too now you know he "stole" Jeremy's gate before Romain did in Italy? Is Tim an "entitled prick" cause he wasn't too happy with Romain's move in Germany and told him a word or two after the race?

I can understand he doesn't want to lose the championship because of incidents with people 'he doesn't get along with' as you say, but if you're gonna make people mad out there then those incidents are going to keep happening

Like steal someone else's gate because he didn't like his, or pull aggressive moves, then have a problem when someone does the same to him. There was nothing wrong with Guillod's move at all, doesn't matter if it's a quali race or not. He may be World Champion, but if he wants respect, then he must show everyone else that same respect, he has to earn it. Cairoli has always given great respect to all his rivals and that's why no one has a problem with him despite the fact he's been dominant for so long. I know nobody's out there to make friends, but it doesn't hurt to have a few out there from time to time. You certainly don't want to be making enemies left right and centre like he is.

There were 3 riders who would've won the title ahead of Febvre last year if they hadn't got injured, which fair enough, to finish first, first you have to finish, but he didn't absolutely smoke everyone, so he's not above everyone else

You pick a gate, let other riders do the job for you and then you thank them for their job but tell them they have to move. You don't need necessarily to do the pole, your direct opponent has to be behind you during qualy.

Did Febvre still have to choose a gate, and did he have the right to choose the gate he wanted before Jeremy. If the answer to both was yes....then what argument does Jeremy have?

I didnt like the move pulled by Febvre...but Im from Switzerland (French speaking part) so Im far too biased to really make a comment on this....and it has more to do with a dislike for the French...than my support for Valentin...so ill keep out of this. As we say in Football (I dont watch football) in Switzerland...I support two teams. Switzerland and any team that beats France.
