There is a dealer close to me here that apparently has a warehouse full of leftover bikes from up to 10 years ago. There are brand-new 06 RC replica RM 250s in the crate. Also brand-new left over 250f and 450s from '09 and up of multiple mfg's. If I had $4000 laying around I would scoop up one of those RM 250s in a heartbeat.
Please send me the name and contact info for this dealer.
Thanks!

Interested in a very well setup 2010 yz450f? Under $3500 in SoCal, let me know!

Looking for a 450. Been off the bike 2 years. Last one was an 08 CR450. Loved it. Was also very fond of my 03 YZ450 from back then. Been reading that 06-08 YZ450's are very good bikes. Vet rider. Ocotillo. I jump 95% of the jumps at most of the vet tracks. 200lbs geared. Used to be a slow local intermediate. Almost 50 just getting slower. Miss riding though.
I agree with everyone else.

Suzuki.

They have the lowest resale value. So u will get the most bang for your buck and have money left over for cool parts.

And despite the low resale value, they are damn good bikes.

I had the 08 yz450 and that thing was a beast. I loved that bike. I'd buy another one if I were in your position. I never had a single problem with the bike. Started first kick every time and the power was there when you wanted it but was manageable. If you want to make it hit harder, add a pipe.

Don't want a 250F. Just too slow. I also had the 08 CRF250 and loved everything about it cept the power. I was always twisting the grip off that thing and still wanted more. Great bike though, never got arm pump no matter how outta shape I was, and let's you treat it like you don't have to wake up with it in the morning.

I love the 450 power. Always right there when you need it.

I think the best answer is the cleanest one I can find.
Thanks guys.
I think the 250fs now are way better then back in 08, 13- KX250F, 14 YZ250F, 13- RMZ250, imo you should ride one before making your decision, you'll be surprised.

I currently own an 06 and had an 07 ..no frame breakage issues myself nor have I heard/read of any problems like that. In fact I had a 13 kx450 that I sold and kept my 06 !!

The last edition of the carbed bikes seem to be the hot ticket. From a simplicity standpoint. The FI and or air forks make it much more complicated. I still ride my 06 CRF450 I bought new. It's close to 100 hours and still haven't had to adjust the valves. I have kept clean air filters and leaded fuel mostly or a little 2 stroke oil to lube the valves. I will tear it down for a piston next fall/winter and ride on a few more years.

2008/2009 yz450--bullet proof/great suspension/easy to make faster if needed ----OR ----- 2007/2008 crf450--great bikes/lot's of good power

Any one of these properly tuned will run with the new bikes.
