Desalle was impressive the first moto. What I noticed was that he seemed to ride a gear taller than everyone else, much like Pourcel does. At Washougal, where traction is hard to come by, that riding style really pays off. A stock 450 engine isn't a detriment at Washougal either, for the same reason.
obviously it was on the start straight tho. He got lucky on the first start with all the chaos, coming through from way back to 3rd in a few corners, but not so lucky second time out. A fast bike allways helps.

Washougal has the shortest start strait on the circuit. Getting a good start there is all about reflexes, not horsepower.

Normally I will race a stock bike with some LS Motors’ bits on it: the Showa suspension, Doma pipe and Renthal handlebars.

It’s not super trick compared to some of the factory stuff, but if you have a bike that works well and is dialled in for you, it’s possible to get good results that’s what I’ve proven in GP’s. As far as results are concerned I don’t want to make a prediction. I know that sounds a bit lame, but it doesn’t mean a thing anyway. It’s about what you bring on the track. I’m just going to do my best and try to enjoy the experience!”
