Yeah watch it even closer and you will see the only reason he actually ran off the track is cause his front wheel washed in the soft berm.

I doubt it.

Will any action be taken against Reed for his blatant take out attempt? Chisolms's could be a argued, Jlaw's- Helper hit, he says he was coming in too hot, but Reed crosses the track to hit the points leader then admits that it is the only way he had a chance to win the title.! The AMA sucks.
Sure, it happens all the time - but what doesn't usually happen is (1) a rider doesn't say he intends to do that a week before the race; (2) a title depends on one rider knocking another one down; (3) one rider follows the other around, obviously looking for a good place to try to knock him down. In my opinion, the obvious intent is the issue. But Stewart didn't go down, so it's irrelevant.

Bubba said it best. He expected a slower Reed to ride dirty to make up for a lack of track speed. Looks like Reed could have made several clean passes on Bubba but chose to attempt to take Stewart's front end out. Bubba gave one of the best podium speeches I ever heard. He gave no credit to Reed. Chisholm and J-Law learned an important lesson this year. The AMA doesn't have a clue what racing is all about.

Gosh, I know some of you guys are as old as me and can remember the 70's and 80's; contenders would almost kill each other on the track (and everyone talked about the "great battles").

Now I support actions against non-contenders who just try and get in the way but two racers battling for position(and titles) should be able to bump and grind a bit.

As for Reeds move, I don't quite understand it but even Carmichael said on the telecast "for you guys at home watching" that it wasn't that hard of a pass.

I wish we had a different view, but I am not convinced that Stewart perhaps made it look worse than it was.

Anyway, it was a great season (not a runaway boring ho-hum one); congrads to Stewart on his championship, and for Reed for being the only one to even make him work for it a bit.
