What makes you think that the Nascar owners will even care what happens on the MX side of things? They wanted road racing and ended up with MX as well. Also how are you going to fine a kid in the SX season when you have nothing to do with SX?[/quote:ib0v2ap7]
Stuck in the little picture thing?

Big picture, big picture[/quote:ib0v2ap7]

I think you are stuck in the little picture if you think Nascar really wanted MX.

But they have it and have made a commitment to its success
You think they plan to run it into the ground?

DMG owns all of it, except SX, which includes ownership of the sanction and being the ultimate rules maker and referee.
The success or failure of any part of the property will adversely or positively affect all the other properties and the value of the sanction as a whole.

If DMG can buy it today, what's to keep them from selling it tomorrow?
Nothing

So it's value and success as a whole is paramount for DMG

Flarider, I get what you are saying, but I think it is good that JLaw isn't another RC, RV, Dungey type. He brings a little extra and it gives people something to talk about so it is good for the sport.

I am not judging him on that, never made any judgment on him in regards to his run-in in Daytona.
Only stating what the future may hold in these instances.

I have no problem with Jason's attitude, aggressiveness or mouth.
I do think that when a rider is arrested it is not a positive representation of our sport on the larger stage.

Not really, but when I watch sportscenter, it seems like all they care about talking about is events that envolve some kind of controversy, so I think that it will carry the sport farther.

You really think they want anything to do with the MX? MX will be run by someone else witch as of now looks to be the NPG. DMG has already stated they don't want to piss off the people that have put alot into the sport so nothing is really going to change besides the name if that.

How many times have you said 800 will be the champ this year and then you say its going to be next year and then when he does not win its the year after that?

Show me when I ever claimed any such thing
I'm a nobody.
I know a few people and a few things, but I don't believe I have ever proclaimed myself "an insider"
Nonetheless, it's stupid to think DMG will ignore any part of their multi-million dollar investment.

Bobby, that's not an argument, that's just a rant, and not a very good one. You may have overcompensated in trying to get to a lower level.

Those companies all know what they get when they sponsor a guy like Jason.[/quote:3axxk0bg]
You sponsor a team, not a single rider
At least in the instance of YoT
It doesn't excuse it[/quote:3axxk0bg]

Not looking to make excuses for him at all. He has the factory team sponsors and he has his own personal sponsors. Have either of them hinted about dropping him, or are you just making a case based on your opinion? Do you really think the sponsors are going to start backing off him? No way, he is a sponsors wet dream.
Yeah Dave they sponsor a "Team", and they probably have a say about who is put on the team, I think your making an issue out of something that isn't one.
Damn it's going to be nice when he wins the 250f title over the "Golden Boy".

You think Twin-Air, Sunline, One or Maxima have a say in who the teams hire?

I think it would depend on how much money they are paying the team but I'm not sure on how any of that is done.

Haha I love it how loosely people use the term "everyone". "Everyone got into street fights as a teenager", "Everyone has had some prison time", "Everyone has a criminal record". People do this in order to feel better about themselves. I bet paedo's tell themselves that everyone secretly has a 7 year old boy fetish. I'm sorry to break it to you but not everyone is a loser and it is possible to exist on this earth without intentionally causing physical harm to someone else or being imprisoned.

The only sympathy I can possibly conjure up for Lawrence is that if there ever was a face that said "please punch me really hard", this guy hit the jackpot! Although he could easily rectify this by wearing a paper bag over his head.
