I post a lot more in the non-moto forum than I do in moto-related. I quit riding when my back/neck trouble got too bad, but I rode and raced for around 5 years. That's pretty irrelevant though - this site is much more of a motocross and supercross FAN site than it is about riding. If you're looking for a "riders" site, try thumpertalk. If you want to sling BS about pro MX/SX racing, this is the place for it. And why should the non-moto forum have anything to do with who rides and who doesn't? It's NON-moto.

Don't take this personal...it's a broad view. PLus..I post WAY more in Non-Moto.

I don't feel the need to update anyone on how much I ride or how much I care about the sport--though I ride once, maybe twice a week guaranteed. I doubt anyone cares to see a pic of me riding anyway. Shit, in the desert it tough to get your buddy to stop and ask, "Hey, please sit here and get a picture of me jumping this washout or climbing this hill or busting this sand berm. I might as well ask them to get one of me doing a wheelie down the street before we head out. The only pics we have are in between riding and breaks.

I have friends here and they hang out in Non-Moto. It's easier to talk with the originals sometimes. Too many people I don't even know on this side of the world.

Start a good Moto thread that contains some intelligent discourse, theories, and contains some original thought I'll jump in. But I certainly don't want to listen to fan boy apologize for how his rider is dominating or how bad another really is. Thank God Bubba isn't racing...I'm sick of every thread turning into a race conflict--pun intended. Then again if Bubba was racing I might care to watch one of the fastest riders ever. Ok?

After you've hung out at this place for a few years, it much more fun to talk about non-moto stuff with those folks than it would be to talk with complete strangers. Surely a more valuable discussion about evolution could occur at some high-brow scientific website full of PhD's, but what fun would that be? Surely not as much fun as it used to be with 'Nerd involved. Likewise, there are plenty fansites where one could discuss college football, but would that be nearly as fun as schooling Volcati on the superiority of the SEC?

I'm a blow hard but i don't race or ride. why? I guess i could surf around and build race pic story books that are fun to look at.

Exactly! I know I can claim the Pac-10 is 9-6 this decade against the SEC and still get denial that the Pac-10 is overrated.
