Dungey and lawrence are both phenominal racers. That's the only comparison.
Dungey has character which Lawrence will never have.
Lawrence is a character.

That turd of a Suzuki cost him the title. Broken triple clamps, flat tire...[/quote:x1vvccul]
Yep Suzuki is to blame for that flat tire, them factory engineers built that flaw into that tire.

JMG lost the title that year due to the opening round where he tangled with Lamson, and at seasons end the flat. Both of which had zilch to do with the bike. It is true that Roger/JMG wanted the Zook engine to be changed to fit JMGs preferences, but he joined the team at the last minute and the Factory had little time to react.

Dont recall a broke triple clamp, when did that happen? Which round?[/quote:x1vvccul]

pontiac...i think larry ward give him a nice elbow as he was getting up also.

If you look back to Lawrence's last big "head games on the podium" stuff, it didn't work out so well for him......

I think he started to notice where RV was finishing after that one....!

Move on. It's 2008. They were Amateurs. I know you hate Jason, but it's time to move on.

I'm actually thrilled that Jason appears to be taking racing a bit more seriously......

His podium "call outs", however, are relevant to the topic at hand.....

When MC was winning he was partying and it would surprise some of you if you knew what he did. RC gets drunk in the beer tent at Loretta's. So does James. Even in 06' James was so drunk that he passed out in the Fox booth. Industry guys and ex pro riders I've witnessed smoking weed at LL's late at night too. Big deal. They still win on the racetrack. And what they do in their private life is their business.[/quote:18jty45c]

Wow, good fish bait huh!! 8)

And I can live without ever going into the beer tent again. Too hot and muggy in there.

He didn't call anybody out. He said that "Dungey is thowing it away for himself". Busting balls is something else.
He's been consistantly fast and smart enough to know who he's racing for the championship.
He doesn't complain or make excuses. More character than many rider's that cry everytime something goes wrong.

Nothing for nothing but where in his podium speeches is there anything that's inaccurate?
Jason was down by 30 something points and Dungey has been crashing and losing points the last 3-4 races and now Jason is in the points lead.Does that not qualify as Dungey throwing away the points lead and handing it to Jason?

Don't confuse facts with what goes on here vntgmx..... 8)

And yes I've luved watching J-Law ride since the first time I saw him kick ass at LL's in the "B" class in 2004. Never knew who he was but the lines he took that week were more inventive than the "A" riders including the Alessi's. That's when I became a fan and have been since. Plus he adds much needed color to this sport with the boilerplate podium speeches. I can barely watch Chad Reed's robotic BS and his freaken stupid ass diamond earings!!!!! lol

edit sorry guys 2004 not 94, had a rough night last night.....
