I like what you have done to the bike.

Does anyone know what years the Mugens were imported? I know Johnny O'Mara rode the first in 1980, when did they stop.

My nephew may race it in the elsinore gp this year. Everything on it is from 1986 except the tag bars. It has a mugen cylinder and head milled and ported by fmf, mugen intake and reeds, fmf cone pipe and silencer tuned for the mugen jug, bored carb, factory showa cartridge forks, Ohlins shock, Baja cross rims (now called excel), Pro wheel stainless spokes, pro wheel 7075 swingarm, wider pegs, NOS Yokohama super digger tires, and thats about all I can remeber off the top of my head. I just need to find some period correct renthal bars in gold and its done :D

Wow just wondering what is up with the red pipe. Raw metal cone or stamped pipes were the stuff drooled about. No paint or goon crome. Labor intensive scotch briting and WD-40. Naval jelly if you neglected it for too long......the good ol' days were truly better.

The Red pipe made them stand out in the day. Johnny O'Mara rode the first one here and it had a red pipe, kinda there trademark. You have to remember that aftermarket pipes were just starting to take off in the early to mid 80's.

I bought my first aftermarket pipe in 1973.
